Everyone should listen to Geraldo Rivera Radio today interviewing the former President of Peru, Alejandro Toledo.

Geraldo's very good news/talk radio show is on every morning on WABC New York from 10-12 in the Eastern time zone..............7-9 AM in San Diego.

This United States educated President said that education was a right of  every citizen.

He also  shared with the listeners his predicition that in 20 years the United States would in fact be a nation with a  majority of Hispanics as immigrants and that we will have a  Hispanic president.

President Toledo was on the radio today to talk about  his  new book  The Shared Society--A Vision For The Global Vision Of Latin America.

He shared with Geraldo his thought that education was  the right of every citizen of Peru and Latin America.

The people of Latin America are coming to the US to have a better life and a better life for their children.

When asked about the recent visit of Pope Francis President Toledo shared the idea that natural resources of a country should be used for the education of the citizens.  When people have  an education they have better health care, better opportunities and simply lead a life of higher quality.

Now with the advent of the cell phone and technology available to individuals of all levels of society the citizens of every nation are becoming more impatient for an education.

I  wish everyone could listen to this man speak--it was quite inspirational.

One can always listen to the podcast if they miss the  show simply by going to WABC.com and jumping over to "on-demand."

Geraldo Rivera has one of the best radio shows out there  if you are a  talk radio fan like me......all of the big talkers call in and the average workaday citizen.  Geraldo lets them talk and have their say and that is a breath of fresh air in talk radio today.....particularly conservative talk radio.

Good job, today, Geraldo......thank you for letting us hear your very informative and inspirational conversation with President Alejandro Toledo of Peru.

I found this on Yahoo Finance talking about the interview:

77 WABC: Larry Mendte--Spotlight on A Good Reporter

Good listening this weekend to Larry Mendte........Sundays 7-9 PM on 77 WABC AM Radio New York......(that's Geraldo's station).

He also filled in for Geraldo Rivera on Monday morning in the 10-12 time slot.

Both of his shows offered plenty of new information and facts on the marijuana issue and the Seal Team 6 controversy.

Larry is well informed on the facts so again the listener is the winner because we get to hear new ideas about the topics being discussed.

Larry really knows what he is talking about--his good reporting skills shine through the conversation between Larry and the callers.

The people that call in have a respect for Larry Mendte--the callers are so well informed, too.

Larry is suggesting that marijuana will be legalized in New York just like Colorado and why not take the advantage of the financial opportunities at hand.

Larry told us that many of the original fears about the legalization of marijuana have been proven incorrect over time and fallen off the page one by one.

Larry also feels like the individuals talking about Seal Team 6--members of the team--should be allowed to talk about their activities resulting in the death of Osama Bin Laden.

Actually, Larry Mendte feels like these men should be celebrated as heroes, in this special circumstance, rather that take the silent approach preferred by the Seal Team members and those in charge in order to prevent giving away security secrets.

Thanks, Larry, for sharing with us your good reporting skills and plenty of pertinent information.

Other good listening from The Ronnie Republic Radio Round-Up.......

WABC Saturdays--Joan Hamburg--really funny interviewing Joy Behar and telling us what is happening on Broadway.

Bill Nighy and Winona Ryder in PBS Masterpiece's Worricker....it is so fun to see brilliant actress Winona Ryder again.

Fox News: The Difference Between Geraldo and O'Reilly

Geraldo Rivera.
Geraldo Rivera:  cute, unafraid and gets it
Official photographic portrait of US President...
Our beautiful President, Barack Obama, cute, cool and really funny
Bill O'Reilly
Bill O'Reilly:  afraid and angry
Geraldo gets it........O'Reilly does not.

That's the major difference between Geraldo Rivera and Bill O'Reilly of Fox News.

Seriously, Geraldo tries to gets the facts out...the pertinent news items of the day and talk about it.  Bill O'Reilly, daily gives his impression of the stories of the day and tries to call it news and then wonders why people do not go on his show.

Who would go on the The Factor just to listen to him shout--chin jutting out, fists clenched--the guest would have to shout him down to even give his side of things.

No, Bill, you are not always right.

Further more you are afraid and Geraldo Rivera is not.

Bill is afraid something will be different than he envisions--he is so scared his false premise will be challenged.

Geraldo Rivera of WABC AM Radio in New York and Fox News is not afraid of the caller.....Geraldo is not afraid of new information.

The take of The Ronnie Republic--news should be free and easy--the facts should be out there and easy to obtain--a price should not be paid for the information.

Radio, television, news, media, Internet--information that is easy and free to obtain for everyone--for people of all socioeconomic classes and all ages.  This is the hallmark of a free nation.

Opinions are a good thing--we love to hear all the ideas--why one political philosophy is right or wrong......as long as it is identified as your idea and not fact.......again this is the difference between Geraldo and O'Reilly.

The citizens can hear all of the facts and individual ideas and then form their own preferences.....no one has to be afraid.

As Zeke Emanuel said.....Bill O'Reilly could use his popular podium to give out information but instead he uses it to spread fear for his own gain.

Our beautiful President, Barack Obama, was so hilarious yesterday when he voted--the guy in the booth next to him said, "Man, don't touch  my girl."

President Obama took the cue and said....Let's go ahead and see if we can make him jealous........it was sooooooo funny.

This is what O'Reilly can't get.....President Obama identifies with the every day work-a-day citizen, not just people of color as O'Reilly tries to insinuate.

President Obama is cute and funny.....get over it O'Reilly....you're old and out and you shout!

Good job, Geraldo, for trying to always move forward and not spreading fear--for not being an angry old white man.
