Richard Painter Talks Charlottesville Violence and Racism Permeating the trump White house: Well Done, Richard

Richard Painter Demands Trump Fire Seb Gorka and Steve Bannon Over Charlottesville Violence

With violent clashes breaking out today at a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, former George W. Bush ethics lawyer and longtime Republican Richard Painter spoke out forcefully against the White House and his belief that the Trump administration has fed into racist rhetoric.
Appearing on MSNBC as the network reported on the violence at the “Unite the Right” rally, Painter took aim at the former Breitbartemployees who are now in the White House, tying the publication’s association with the alt-right to the events going on in Virginia today. And thus stating President Donald Trump needs to rid his administration of anyone tied to Breitbart.
“We are not the party of fascism in America and we are going to have to reject this,” Painter exclaimed. “We need to demand today that president trump fires Sebastian Gorka, Steve Bannon, all the other alt-right neofascists in the White House.”
Bannon, the current White House chief strategist, was the CEO of Breitbart News before joining the Trump campaign last year. Gorka, a deputy assistant to the president, also came over from Breitbart, where he served as an editor.
Painter added, “This is Breitbart News what you’re watching on the streets of Charlottesville and as a Republican — I will remain a Republican but not support fascism — and call for the impeachment if he does not fire the neofascists in his White House immediately.”
Later in the segment, he railed against Breitbart some more, calling it a racist organization while once again calling for the president’s removal if he doesn’t remove Gorka and Bannon from the White House.

CAN DONALD TRUMP BE REMOVED AS PRESIDENT: An Open Letter To Dianne Feinstein

File under:

Help--The president is scaring me.

Dear Dianne Feinstein:

As my Senator I would like to tell you that the president of the United States is scaring me and I do not think that he is qualified for the position he is holding as the leader of our country.

No, I did not vote for him and I am not in favor of any of his policies but now when I wake up in the morning I am wondering if we will be in a war.

I do not think it is right to threaten war or "fire and fury" as he stated regarding North Korea or to any other country or public figure that may come in his  cross hairs.

I am afraid for our country and for myself.

Is there any way that he can be legally removed from his position as I think he is unfit but now I really do think he is a danger for all of us.

Let's think it through.....why run around and scare people if we really do not have to?

What is the point--this is not kids in the school yard it is the world and eventually with this kind of behavior some one will be hurt.

I am not asking for anything illegal but I feel like for the betterment of our country he just has to be gone.

He does not represent us well and now he
is dangerous.

Also, my gay friends are worried about living in our country in safety and that is just not right.

Thank you for being our Senator and for all of your hard work.

Chloe Louise Langendorf Louis

blog writer and worried citizen of San Diego

To sum it up:

Senator Richard Blumenthal stands strong in the face of bullying and provides leadership and reassurance to the citizens of the US.

The Ronnie Republic:

Standing with Richard Blumenthal for bringing us the news and the truth about the Russia investigation and staying strong in the face of bullying in the work place or at school.

Kids and adults may look to this individual as an example and we can also see that bullying affects everyone--even at the highest levels of our government.

Thanks, Senator Blumental for your very measured and well thought out statements and reassuring the citizens of the US that there is a plan in our leadership.

Providing assurance to the folks of the US that our government is not operating in a state if chaos and fighting,

Roger Waters One-On-One with Smerconish on Donald Trump. #RogerWaters #P...

Just wanted to tell everyone about my recent trip to Palestine.......

Chloe Louise Just suggesting everyone might want to think two times about Israel and Palestine. I have been following the situation over there for several years and I finally went there to try and better understand some of the problems. right now many Palestinians are suffering a lack of water and a shortage of electricity due to the rules and regulations of the settlements. The people there were so lovely and hospitable and touring the holy sites was amazing. I feel so lucky I got to see the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem. We stayed at wonderful and fancy resorts and the food was delicious. The name of our group was Bike Palestine. I would recommend it to anyone. Check out J street for more information on the political front. They will have a special talk this week on the electricity. Palestine is beautiful and the people are very nice. I hope we can find an answer for the unrest soon that will suit both sides. I do believe Roger is interested in human rights.

The Marine Band at Twilight in The Park Concerts: Amazing

Just wanted to let everyone in San Diego know about the free concerts in Balboa Park.

During the summer they take place at the Organ Pavilion every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening from 6:30 to 7:30.

Everyone is welcome and there are bands and groups for everyone but one band that participates every year is the Marine Band and this year they were particularly amazing--it was an honor to see them.

They played everything from Stars and Strips to their own version of rock--then jumped to Tchaikovsky and America the Beautiful.

The crowd was on their feet with applause and standing ovations.

They were so patriotic..........

After the show the band invited folks up to tell them about their military experiences and what they thought of the performance.

It was so engaging.

It is a lovely evening activity for a walk in the park, and there is plenty of space for kids, dogs, dancing and picnics.

This is a good and lucky thing about San Diego--and free.
