A privilege, indeed to hear their take on the daily indiscretions of our president from the esteemed reporter Carl Bernstein and White House adviser sought after by many former presidents, David Gergen.

Last evening on The Don Lemon Show of CNN Carl Bernstein said I have been a reporter for over 50 years and I have never seen anything like this or heard the talk around Washington questioning the ability of the pres to do his job as I am hearing now.

This is the real story and the major news outlets should be perusing it with vigor.  The chat around the city from other republican politicians and the security folks is about trump's ability to carry out the tasks of the office and what can be done about him.

One cannot help but wonder if we are in an emergency situation.

This blogger has often wondered what plans are in place in the event of a security situation involving trump.

For the safety of our country and the people that live here are plans being drawn up as we speak to protect us from the individual in charge.

One wonders what is really going on behind the scenes.

Thanks to Carl Bernstein, David Gergen, Jim Acosta, CNN and everyone out there that is actually bringing us the  news.

Thanks, Carl, for taking time to tell us your take on things and what we should be thinking about as a country.

Thanks for telling us the story.

Richard Painter Talks Charlottesville Violence and Racism Permeating the trump White house: Well Done, Richard

Richard Painter Demands Trump Fire Seb Gorka and Steve Bannon Over Charlottesville Violence

With violent clashes breaking out today at a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, former George W. Bush ethics lawyer and longtime Republican Richard Painter spoke out forcefully against the White House and his belief that the Trump administration has fed into racist rhetoric.
Appearing on MSNBC as the network reported on the violence at the “Unite the Right” rally, Painter took aim at the former Breitbartemployees who are now in the White House, tying the publication’s association with the alt-right to the events going on in Virginia today. And thus stating President Donald Trump needs to rid his administration of anyone tied to Breitbart.
“We are not the party of fascism in America and we are going to have to reject this,” Painter exclaimed. “We need to demand today that president trump fires Sebastian Gorka, Steve Bannon, all the other alt-right neofascists in the White House.”
Bannon, the current White House chief strategist, was the CEO of Breitbart News before joining the Trump campaign last year. Gorka, a deputy assistant to the president, also came over from Breitbart, where he served as an editor.
Painter added, “This is Breitbart News what you’re watching on the streets of Charlottesville and as a Republican — I will remain a Republican but not support fascism — and call for the impeachment if he does not fire the neofascists in his White House immediately.”
Later in the segment, he railed against Breitbart some more, calling it a racist organization while once again calling for the president’s removal if he doesn’t remove Gorka and Bannon from the White House.

CAN DONALD TRUMP BE REMOVED AS PRESIDENT: An Open Letter To Dianne Feinstein

File under:

Help--The president is scaring me.

Dear Dianne Feinstein:

As my Senator I would like to tell you that the president of the United States is scaring me and I do not think that he is qualified for the position he is holding as the leader of our country.

No, I did not vote for him and I am not in favor of any of his policies but now when I wake up in the morning I am wondering if we will be in a war.

I do not think it is right to threaten war or "fire and fury" as he stated regarding North Korea or to any other country or public figure that may come in his  cross hairs.

I am afraid for our country and for myself.

Is there any way that he can be legally removed from his position as I think he is unfit but now I really do think he is a danger for all of us.

Let's think it through.....why run around and scare people if we really do not have to?

What is the point--this is not kids in the school yard it is the world and eventually with this kind of behavior some one will be hurt.

I am not asking for anything illegal but I feel like for the betterment of our country he just has to be gone.

He does not represent us well and now he
is dangerous.

Also, my gay friends are worried about living in our country in safety and that is just not right.

Thank you for being our Senator and for all of your hard work.

Chloe Louise Langendorf Louis

blog writer and worried citizen of San Diego

Senator Richard Blumenthal stands strong in the face of bullying and provides leadership and reassurance to the citizens of the US.

The Ronnie Republic:

Standing with Richard Blumenthal for bringing us the news and the truth about the Russia investigation and staying strong in the face of bullying in the work place or at school.

Kids and adults may look to this individual as an example and we can also see that bullying affects everyone--even at the highest levels of our government.

Thanks, Senator Blumental for your very measured and well thought out statements and reassuring the citizens of the US that there is a plan in our leadership.

Providing assurance to the folks of the US that our government is not operating in a state if chaos and fighting,
