Geraldo Rivera and Noam Laden: Excellent in News/Talk Radio

Seriously, Geraldo and Noam are one of the best radio shows out there....proof in the pudding....just go out there and listen. The other shows are not just one-sided but lacking in information. I love Noam and I will also follow Geraldo--for all sides of the political picture and current issues Geraldo Rivera is the best and with a gift for interviewing and investigative reporting. The bad boy of San Diego drove me to search for Geraldo and Noam. I listen to Rush and O'Reilly but they are only one side.

Geraldo Rivera Claims WABC/New York Fired Him, Locked Him Out Of Studio

SHENANIGANS 95
rivera-300x201Fox Newspersonality Geraldo Riveraalleged that new executives at WABC/New York, where he hosted a daily radio show on WABC 770, fired him and locked him out of the studio.
Rivera made the accusations public on his Facebook page on Nov. 25, the day before Thanksgiving. That’s when he was informed by Cumulus Media CEO Mary Berner and New York VP Chad Lopez “that they do not intend to honor the handshake deal I made with the ousted company chief John Dickey, an agreement to extend my current contract for a year.”
“The decision to renege on our deal on the eve of Thanksgiving is especially upsetting,” said Rivera, “coming in the wake of my emotionally charged and highly rated coverage of the Paris massacre and frantic efforts by authorities to bring the perpetrators to justice.”
In a subsequent Facebook post on Saturday, Rivera praised the medium of radio while lamenting Cumulus Media and WABC’s business practices. He also commended the “honorable” John andLew Dickey, the former heads of the station.

Rivera also claimed that WABC had locked him out, literally.
In locking me out of my studio as of last Friday even though my contract does not expire until December 31st and in refusing to honor the 2016 deal negotiated by the ousted Dickeys, they have breached my contract.
That slight will not go unanswered.
The Fox News personality didn’t explicitly say he would sue Cumulus Media, WABC or both, but his wording in the Facebook post suggests as much.

Noam Laden: Chris Christie--Donald Trump with A Brain

Noam Laden at the helm of the WABC 77 News/Talk Radio ship this holiday season and always asking pertinent questions for the voters.

Today Noam Laden is suggesting that Chris Christie is Donald Trump with a brain and asking the callers to respond to the idea that Christie could eventually lead the GOP in a race against my girl, Hillary Clinton.

Noam thinks the folks out there are starting to get into the deep sleep mode from an overdose of the trumpster.

Could the donald actually act properly as the President of the United States--can he be trusted about anything and are his falsehoods finally starting to shed light on his qualifications.

Noam Laden said perhaps Chris Christie is enough of a straight talker to fill the bill that many have said is the attractive component of the ginger haired half-wit.

Prior to Bridgegate and a few unnecessary real loud and aggressive shouts at reporters and town hall questioners this blog lady in love with politics thought the Clinton-Christie race would be exciting and close.

The cat hair cook thought Christie could give Mrs. Clinton a run for her money not to mention the fact that Chris Christie and Bill O'Reilly were banging the headboard on a nightly basis--only on the O'Reilly fantasy side.  It was only a longing and dream........"I don't know why Christie won't come on my show," was often exclaimed after a flattering memo.

It was as if O'Reilly and Roger Ailes had gotten together and said lets go with Chrisite against Hillary--we have got a real good chance.

But then the wheels quickly came off that cart with the emergence of Bridgegate.

Right--do you remember.

Bill was exasperated.

Now what is our hope to win against Hillary Clinton?

Frankly, it seems like Bill is exasperated with Trump, as well--he said it last evening--he is impossible to question being that he just keeps going back to his original statement of hugeness and shouts it until the time is up.

Noam Laden says Christie will fill the trump void as he is straight talking, loud, honest (more of less), and somewhat appears as an outsider. He fills the trump gap.  Yet, Christie has the qualifications and experience of not saying the first thing that comes to his mind that will end up alienating the voting population.

We could say  Chris Christie has somewhat of a filter on his mouth--loosely speaking.

Chris Christie did well in the last debate and won the accolade of the union leader of  New Hampshire to give him a much needed boost in the upcoming election.

To this blog lady Chris Christie appears that he does have the welfare of the citizens of New Jersey front and center.

I've got your back...was the word he seemed to be saying to the residents of the Jersey shore when he showed he cared about their fate after Sandy and the President Obama hug.

Christie is a brilliant orator and fun to watch--not the entertainer like qualities of the wild haired wonder but the experience of a Governor and a very smart politician.

Let's see what happens...is Noam Laden correct?

A caller said to Noam Laden today, "I went to a party with a bunch of physicians and they were down playing trump and making fun of him but then he interjected that trump was saying everything they were thinking but too embarrassed to verbalize......paraphrasing.

Readers and fellow cat and pit bull lovers--I worked for very many years with plenty of physicians, yes--very rich people and they did indeed say the same sentiments of trump.  I realized that right off the bat.  Some even touted the expertise of the bombastic Barbie, Ann Coulter.

What has happened to our world?

Seriously, Noam Laden has asked important questions this Thanksgiving season--earlier he had the media manager from Patterosn, New Jersey explaining that the event trump described of thousands and thousands of Muslims rejoicing over the 9/11 tragedy just did not happen.  This city official went into detail and further said he was out and about.  Noam said that is my job to find out facts and there are not facts to support Donald's claims.

Good shows, Noam, good week and well done.

Your thoughts--agree of disagree welcome.

Tyler Florence:  The Ultimate Holiday Table

Cat People--This is just about the best, easiest,  most straight forward and do-able Holiday meal out there.

With the caveat of price it is also the most reasonable and of course, prime rib is always delicious and elegant and impressive.

Prime Rib Roast is a treat for the holidays or any special occasion.

Folks, this cat lady loves cooking and eating but the holiday meal can always be a little bit tricky after cleaning, presents, all of the other people and then there is always the ultimate slam from someone re:  cat hair around the house.

I hate vacuuming....and the cats do not like it either.

We have to keep reminding ourselves of the ultimate truth and the importance of a good relationship with your cat.

When all is said and done, its the end of February and the tree is down, who is left to watch the news with--the cats--hair and all.

Oh sure, there is always the odd one that keeps insisting all they wanted for Christmas was to just be able to eat one meal without having to take a piece of cat hair out of their food--but those folks eventually leave--and you're alone--with the peace and quiet of the news and the cats.

Seriously, stunningly delicious and flavorful rib roast at Iowa Meats if the budget will allow it also very good rib roast at Vons on sale and sprouts or Henry's, too.

The best line up of olives in San Diego--please try North Park produce.  The olives are addicting.  Try every kind--it can be a hobby.

Back to Tyler's dinner.........Image result for vintage christmas angels

Everyone likes the potato dish and it is not to hard to make and quite understandable after watching the video.  this meal can be made without feeling exhausted.

Seriously, trying to leave meat out of the diet and successful most of the time I would be moving toward an untruth if I said I did not enjoy it once in a great while.

Holiday dog bone tips from the cat hair cook:

Iowa meats has perfect dog bones--huge and raw--they will cut them to order.  sometimes they are at Ralph's in Hillcrest, also.

As far as the rib roast bones--they look good for the baby pit bull and of course they want them but in this cat woman's experience they can be easily cracked as they are cooked.  the big raw thigh bones are the best.

How to train your dog to eat the bone in the proper place at a later date.

Recommending:  Just keep watching Tyler's Food Network videos of this meal and it will fall into place--he is a good cook and explains it so it is easy to understand and copy.

If time and the budget allows try to make a practice dinner in advance.

Melinda Lee also has an easy to do roasting method--it always works.

Happy Holidays and Happy Cats

The Cat Hair Cook Talks donald trump and the Threat of Independence

No, the GOP is not bossing me around!

According to the Ohio papers trump was asked to reduce his amount of ridicule against John Kasich recently at a rally in Ohio with the explanation that Ohio is needed to carry an election and it did not do any favors for the good of the Republican agenda to bash the popular Governor. Perhaps this will push trump to actually go independent since he is running his campaign at the expense of the GOP. He is now and always has been only interested in himself and not in any of the conservative values.

stated by the dark peasant:
I'm sure Trump will comply while Kasich and his POS PAC compares Trump to Hitler and the Nazis.

But don't you think that is why he was recently threatening to go independent again. Once the Republican operatives started chatting with him in Ohio he may have gone along with it for a moment but in the end I do not think he will agree to be bossed around by the the party and in particular John Kasich who could be a real threat to him. I think he knows that. Once John Kasich started calling him out twice at the debates and it went all over the news for his unimplementable schemes and now the party is ganging up on him for handing the election to my girl Hillary Clinton, it is the beginning of the end for the end for the tramp.

from The Hill:

The GOP in a Panic Over Trump

The Republican establishment is nearing full-blown panic about Donald Trump
The demise of Trump’s candidacy has been predicted by centrist Republicans and the media alike virtually since the day it began. But there is no empirical evidence at all to suggest it is happening.
Last month, the liberal ThinkProgress collated more than 30 predictions of the business mogul’s imminent demise. One typical example was The Washington Post’s Jonathan Capehart, who discerned “the beginning of the end of Trump” in mid-July, soon after the mogul criticized the Vietnam War record of Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.)
Despite all that, Trump has led the RealClearPolitics (RCP) polling average in a virtually unbroken spell for four months. The only person to briefly wrest the lead away from him, Dr. Ben Carson, appears to be fading. And numerous polls show Trump drawing double the support of his closest establishment-friendly rival, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.)
Add to all this the fact that Trump’s lead over the rest of the GOP field has expanded since the terrorist attacks in Paris, and it becomes clear why anxiety among his many Republican critics is reaching new heights.
“He has a real shot at this. He is the clear front-runner,” said Ron Bonjean, a consultant and former aide to GOP leaders on Capitol Hill.
Adding that “months ago, we all discounted Trump as a candidate,” Bonjean now acknowledged that it seems “safe to assume that he is going to continue with this strong momentum right into Iowa.”
The Iowa caucuses are set for Feb. 1, a little over two months away. Voters tend to pay less attention to politics over the holiday season than at other times, a trend that makes dramatic shifts in the race less likely during that period.
Only one more televised debate will take place before the end of the year, on Dec. 15 in Las Vegas. Beyond that, there will be only one more such clash, in January, four days before the caucuses.
“The media has twisted and turned through a number of different positions where they tried to explain that it was just a fad — the summer of Trump,” said Craig Robinson, a former political director of the Republican Party of Iowa. “Well, it’s lasted all fall. There is a realization that you are not going to wake up tomorrow and he’s going to vanish.”
Robinson, who is not affiliated with any candidate, was scathing toward those GOP centrists who assert that Trump will be unable to translate his polling support into votes because of a weak ground game.
“That is the wishful thinking of the establishment,” he said. “That is what they tell themselves so they can sleep at night. The truth is, Trump has one of the better ground operations in Iowa. Will he turn out every single person who shows up at his rallies? No. But if he turns out a fraction, he will roll over the field.”
Trump’s critics within the GOP are now coming to believe that an air war — that is, negative TV advertising — is more likely to deliver results than anything else. They note that a $1 million campaign in Iowa by the conservative Club for Growth appeared to put some dent in Trump’s numbers. (It also drew the threat of legal action from the candidate.)
A super-PAC backing the presidential candidacy of Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R) is already targeting the business mogul. On Nov. 20, The Wall Street Journal reported that Liz Mair, a well-known Republican operative, was planning a “guerrilla campaign” against Trump. A memo prepared by Mair’s organization, Trump Card LLC, stated that “in the absence of our efforts, Trump is exceedingly unlikely to implode or be forced out of the race.”
Rick Wilson, a Florida GOP strategist who has agreed to help produce TV ads for Mair’s group if it raises funding, told The Hill, “I expected that the other candidates and campaigns would by now have stepped up to knock down Trump’s numbers, and I was wrong. Unlike Donald Trump, I will admit when I have made an error.”
But Wilson added that capsizing the businessman’s chances at this point would require a significant financial effort.
“It’s going to need a sustained commitment from people who need to understand that if you hand the Republican nomination to Donald Trump, you hand the White House to Hillary Clinton,” he said.
Some experts still contend that Trump will fall of his own accord, or that his current poll ratings will prove deceptive. Statistician Nate Silver, of the FiveThirtyEight website, has argued that the majority of voters only make their decisions much closer to polling time.
Others have cited the 2012 cycle, when several Republican candidates’ stars rose and faded, to suggest that Trump will lose altitude before the first votes are cast.
Silver’s thesis seems to rest on the idea that late-deciding voters will make completely different choices than those who have already tuned in to the process — a supposition that may be true but is unproven for now.
As for 2012, while it is true that former Speaker Newt Gingrich (Ga.) was leading the RCP average at the equivalent point to now, that was to be a relatively short-lived phenomenon, just as earlier boomlets for candidates such as then-Rep. Michele Bachmann (Minn.) and businessman Herman Cain had proved to be.
In fact, the consistency of Trump’s polling performance this cycle has more in common with the steady showing of eventual 2012 nominee Mitt Romney than anyone else.
Other anti-Trump forces within the GOP hold out hope that as the field winnows, the whole dynamic of the race will shift, with primary voters coalescing around a different option.
But none of that is guaranteed. Trump remains as bullishly confident as ever. And Republican insiders know the hour is getting late.

“If Trump is not your cup of tea, it’s time to bring your own coffee pot out and start brewing something,” said Robinson.
