Happy Birthday to Frances Zena Varley Barclay 1914--2020
Frances Zena Varley was born in San Diego in 1914.
She lived in North Park.
She loved San Diego.
Frances joined the WAVES to help out with the war effort during WW2.
Being a member of the WAVES was a very important part of her life--she always mentioned it as one of her best accomplishments.
Hoover High School was a big part of her life.
She often stayed with her Aunt Zena in Orange, Ca. As Aunt Zena progressed in her life and reached an advanced age Frances did a very wonderful job of taking care of her.
Aunt Zena and her Gran, Helen Arnim were great influences in her life and she loved them very much ....and she loved Orange.

Mary Varley, Marion Strum and Ruth Harget were her cousins and they were great friends until the end of their lives--all living in the San Diego area.

Oil painting was one of her talents and hobbies.
Not to mention her love for genealogy and unending search for information on her great grandmother, Hezena Beall.
Her brothers were George Lovell Varley and Richard Byron Varley, Jr. she always admired her brothers.
As her years progressed she resided in the Veterans Home in Chula Vista.
She passed at 103 after life of exercise and a healthy diet.

One Must Identify The Cleaning Before They Begin.......
What is the cleaning and where does it exist?
These are very tough questions that must be clearly thought out before the actual chore can take place.
What is the chore.
Where do I begin.
Is there trash involved.
Does it involve taking the trash out as a sub-task.
In this highly complicated world of cleaning the cleaning assessment takes time and mindful organization. It is never easy and one must allow themselves proper grieving and realizations in order to negotiate this stressful life.
Will I find more dirt that I also have to clean--a never-ending worry.

Rescuing The Animals Of Bethlehem--A Success Story
NORA and BILLY have arrived safely in Ireland 
She has adopted a Ukrainian dog abandoned in a Romanian airport, as well as two abused ponies and some chickens. She first adopted Nora and Billy over 2 years ago but had to wait because of Corona. In May she will return to take SMOKEY and MAURICIO as well. 
Billy and Nora have arrived safely to their new forever home in Ireland . They had quite a long journey and were exhausted upon arrival but after taking time to settle down, they are happy and looking forward to wonderful times! We thank the adopter, Aoife Nic Chraith, for giving them a lovely home

The Spa Guy Talks Elvis and Shares His Best Tips About Getting Started on You-Tube
Thank you very much to The Spa Guy for taking time out of his busy day to graciously shares his thoughts on Elvis Presley.
Often in the evening there is not that much on television and You-Tube is a good place to go for interesting stories.
It is not over-produced, but the videographers honest opinion about their hobby, their day or just what is bothering them at the moment.
Often finding The Spa Guy--interesting and entertaining with his Elvis Presley history and interviews with those who knew and worked with Elvis.
These stories are always fascinating--what made Elvis tick will go on forever.
The Spa Guy has done a particularly good job of creating content--he says he is an amateur and it is just a hobby--but I think he has a new profession on his hands.
I wanted to ask him how he got started and if he could share any tips with me for getting the word out about my favorite subject--The Bethlehem Shelter and the Dog and Cat Rescue of Diana George Babish.
