My Beautiful Friends (Dogs) in Jenin #LovePalestine
Touring the countryside of Palestine with Bike Palestine, enjoying the history, the food, the olive groves and almond orchards one could not help but notice the stray dogs.
Why are all of these dogs just hanging around all by themselves out in the country?
After barking all night at our hotel in Jenin taking pictures at 6 AM was mandatory.
I will never get this guy out of my mind.......
He was young and he was friendly but he had to keep sitting down.
They were waiting for breakfast.
This is his friend.
This lovely gentleman is his friend, too.
Outside of our hotel.
Thank you for reading.

Bill and Peter talk about Palestine today.
Trying to tell everyone about the dogs of Palestine.
Do you have any ideas about getting the word out on this important issue.
The dogs could really use a helping hand.....there are so many of them that are on their own.

Go To Palestine--Ride a Bike--Get a Dog #LovePalestine
Go To Palestine--Ride a Bike--Get a Dog
#LovePalestine
Just wanted to let everyone know about an upcoming bike trip to Palestine.
I have been on it two times and it is a unique way to experience the Holy Land
and meet the very friendly folks of Palestine.
George Snow runs the 8 day trip two times a year and he has a special ability
to make everyone feel included regardless of their skills on a bike.
There is a van carrying extra bikes and plenty of water and one can ride at any time.
Some went on the tour for biking--there are some steep hills---and part of our group
went on the trip for religious, political or history reasons. My thing--the food is delicious
and I loved seeing the beautiful resorts, The Jordan river and The Dead Sea, etc.
We joined another bike group and toured the streets of Jericho along with the kids from
a local school.
I could not stand not seeing the issues of the Middle East for myself and this was a
perfect way to do it.
The terrain reminds me of Julian with Olive groves and almond orchards instead of apples.
We also visited the Taybeh brewery.
The Banksy Museum and The Walled Off hotel in Bethlehem is an eye opener.
The next trip is in Sept. George is in Italy and he loves to answers questions.
The trip is also through the Siraj Center in Bethlehem.
And by the way can you please stop at the animal shelter of Diana George Babish
in Bethlehem and bring home a dog as you get ready to head out.
I have a ton of pictures and here is a post from George......

Shining a light on the dogs and cats of Palestine: Thousands of Moroccans protest against US Jerusalem embassy move

More than 10,000 Moroccans took to the streets to protest against the U.S., Jerusalem embassy move
CASABLANCA, Morocco (Reuters) - More than 10,000 Moroccans chanting "Death to Israel" took to the streets of Casablanca on Sunday to protest against the U.S. decision to move its embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.
The marchers carried Palestinian flags and placards that read "Al Quds (Jerusalem) Palestine's eternal capital". Most appeared to be Islamists, with women wearing headscarves and marching separately from men.
The United States opened its embassy in Jerusalem on May 14, moving it from Tel Aviv, a move that reversed decades of U.S. policy and delighted Israel and infuriated Palestinians.
The status of Jerusalem is one of the thorniest obstacles to forging a peace deal between Israel and the Palestinians, who with broad international backing want East Jerusalem, captured by Israel in the 1967 Middle East war, as their capital.
Israel regards all of the city, including the eastern sector it annexed after the 1967 conflict, as its capital. The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump has said the city's final borders should be decided by the parties.
On the day the United States opened its new embassy, Israeli troops killed 60 Palestinian demonstrators near the border in Gaza. Israel says the violence was incited by Hamas, the Islamist group that runs Gaza. Hamas denies blame.
The Casablanca protest had been called by a coalition of four parties including the Islamist opposition group al-Adl Wal Ihsan which is seen as Morocco's most powerful opposition group in terms of rallying supporters on the street.

from cl and the ronnie re.......
Recently in Ramallah after touring the area with Bike Palestine. People kept asking my opinion of the donald and voicing their frustrations with his lack of respect for the Arab Counties and moving the embassy to Jerusalem.
In Bethlehem I had the opportunity to visit Dianna George Babish and her animal shelter and right nextdoor the Palestine Wildlife Society and Imad Qumsieh.
Just wanted to tell everyone about these two Palestinian heroes working to help the animals of this area.
If anyone has any suggestions for promotion or how to help these very hard working individuals please jump in with your ideas.......
here is a link to my story:
All of these dogs need homes and they are very lovely dogs, too.
Please spread the word and thank you for reading.
Thank you,
