Trump Goes On Rant Against ‘Little Donny Deutsch,’ Admits It’s ‘Not Presidential’
Trump concedes he “hardly” knows the MSNBC host but terms him a “total loser. Deutsch recently called Trump a “criminal.”
President Donald Trump took up his media Twitter cudgel again Saturday night and went after “Little Donny Deutsch” after the MSNBC host called him a criminal.
Trump called Deutsch “a total loser” in a tweet, then just minutes later said in another post: “I know it it is not at all ‘Presidential’ to hit back at the Corrupt Media.”
REAL LIFE. REAL NEWS. REAL VOICES.
Help us tell more of the stories that matter from voices that too often remain unheard.
Deutsch has been particularly hard on Trump lately. On Friday he called him a “despicable human being” on “Morning Joe” for attacking House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) as Trump was interviewed in front of the gravestones of war dead in France on the anniversary of the D-Day landings.
Deutsch also suggested more than a week ago that “impeachment” should be “rebranded” as the “Trump criminal investigations.” That foreshadowed Pelosi’s reported comments that she’d rather see Trump in prison than impeached, which infuriated the president. “He’s a criminal,” Deutsch said flatly.
Deutsch took up that rebranding campaign again on his program “Saturday Night Politics,” which was likely what wound Trump up.
But instead of attacking the host’s comments, Trump went after Deutsch’s claims that the men were once friends.
“This is false ... hardly knew him — other than to know” he’s a “total loser,” Trump tweeted. The president claimed that Deutsch and CNN’s Erin Burnett had “begged” him to be on his TV show “The Apprentice,” but he turned them down.
Little @DonnyDeutsch, whose show, like his previous shoebiz tries, is a disaster, has been saying that I had been a friend of his. This is false. He, & separately @ErinBurnett, used to BEG me to be on episodes of the Apprentice (both were bad), but that was it. Hardly knew him,..

....other than to know he was, and is, a total Loser. When he makes statements about me, they are made up, he knows nothing!

Minutes later he conceded the attacks weren’t presidential, but that he had no recourse but to “hit back” at “Fake News.” He didn’t specify which “fake news” he was referring to.
I know it is not at all “Presidential” to hit back at the Corrupt Media, or people who work for the Corrupt Media, when they make false statements about me or the Trump Administration. Problem is, if you don’t hit back, people believe the Fake News is true. So we’ll hit back!

Hours earlier Trump blasted MSNBC, CNN — and Comcast.
Check out Deutsch’s Saturday program in the video above. His comments on “prisoner Trump” begin at 8:10.

Ashrawi: Palestinians Seek Freedom, will not Surrender to Permanent Dispossession and Subjugation
POSTED ON: JUN 6, 2019
Fifty-two years after Israel occupied the Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, the Palestinian people continue to resist this colonial occupation with dignity and inspiring steadfastness.
The occupation that began in 1967 is part of a continuum of injustice, dispossession, and disenfranchisement that was penned in the hallways of the United Nations in 1947 then formalized with the Nakba of 1948.
“Yet, the Palestinian people continue to pursue justice and freedom, demand accountability for egregious violations of international law and Palestinian human rights and work with peace and justice advocates to end the indignity of occupation and dispossession,” said PLO Executive Committee member, Hanan Ashrawi.
This military colonial occupation has been maintained and entrenched by illegality criminality, and impunity; emboldened by international inaction and lack of accountability. For over half a century, the Palestinian people have resisted dehumanization and institutional injustice that inform crimes, forced transfer, illegal settlement construction, restrictions of movement, theft of resources, and denial of our people’s potential, Ashrawi added in a statement.
“ These policies and illegal practices have all been in a futile attempt to rob the Palestinian people of hope in realizing their independent state and living in the freedom of prosperity,” she said.
Today, our people also remember that over seven decades of false and broken international promises have also passed. The Question of Palestine continues to highlight the international community’s grave failure to realize peace and justice for a people who were uprooted, plunged into crisis, and denied their inalienable right to self-determination because of international inaction and/or collusion.
“This failure has resulted in a culture of impunity, with Israel committing crimes knowing it will be shielded from accountability or even reproach,” added Ashrawi.
Today, the Palestinian people face the serious threat of a life of permanent conflict, exile, or occupation due to the racist and hostile policies of the US-Israeli alliance against our fundamental rights. These rightwing allies seek Palestinian surrender and capitulation. In the same manner, their supremacist attitude towards the Palestinian people, disdain for international law and principles of human rights, and assault on Palestinian rights are an integral part of the hostility harbored by the Trump administration and the rightwing in Israel towards the international rules-based order.
In this context, Palestine presents yet another test to the credibility and standing of the international system; a test responsible actors must not fail, said the statement.
“Yet, the Palestinian people continue to stand tall, persevering in their struggle for freedom with dignity and in the company of all committed advocates of peace and universal human rights. Despite setbacks and disappointments, the Palestinian people’s determination to realize their freedom and enjoy a life of prosperity is unwavering. Political and financial extortion will not dissuade us. Equally, farcical attempts at bribing the Palestinian people with a fistful of dollars in exchange for their freedom will fail,” Ashrawi concluded.

Chip Franklin Blows Up Fox News
Leave It to chip:
NO ONE EVER SAID CHIP FRANKLIN WAS NOT INNOVATIVE, QUICK THINKING OR COULD NOT MAKE A COMMENT TO GET EVERYONE TALKING.........
FROM NEWSWEEK:
WATCH: FOX NEWS GUEST RAISES JOHN MCCAIN PHOTO FOR TRUMP TO SEE, GETS SHUT DOWN BY ANCHOR
A guest on Fox News on Sunday, unannounced, raised a photo of late Senator John McCain to show President Donald Trump, leading an anchor of the conservative-leaning network to call it "off the rails" and end the segment.
The jab at Trump on the president's favorite news network occurred during a discussion before a town hall featuring Democratic presidential candidate Kirsten Gillibrand. Fox News anchor Leland Vittert slammed Democratic candidates and asked radio host John Kobylt to comment on the Trump campaign's supposed strategy to define the Democratic nominee as a socialist.
"Oh that's a great commercial for Trump to run about a million times next year isn't it," Kobylt said. "This stuff doesn't play outside of San Francisco, that's a cult meeting inside that conference call."
Just as Kobylt began talking, another guest on the show, radio host Chip Franklin, held up a photo of McCain over most of his face.
Visibly bothered, Vittert confronted Franklin.
"Chip, I'm trying to figure out why you're putting John McCain's face up," Vittert said.
"In the off-chance the president's watching," Franklin replied. "Real heroes out there, Pete Buttigieg, others that have served this country, just a thought."
"Alright this, this went off the rails," Vittert said, throwing his hands up. "Alright Chip, John thanks a lot. John we'll have you back to finish that thought. See you guys soon."
Fox News then switched to content on the 75th anniversary of D-Day.
Trump could have seen the live show, given he frequently watches Fox News.
Franklin showed McCain's photo in light of the White House requesting last month that the Navy "minimize the visibility" of USS John S. McCain—a warship named after the senator who was a prisoner of war in Vietnam—so Trump would not have to see it while visiting Japan. The Navy told NBC News that it got the request and did not follow it. Trump said he had no hand in the request.
"To me, John McCain—I wasn't a fan," Trump said last week. "But I would never do a thing like that."
Trump has not let go of his disdain for McCain, who cast a deciding vote against a White House-supported plan to repeal most of Obamacare, and died last August of brain cancer.
Franklin on Sunday shared the clip from the segment on Twitter along with an explanation of why he flashed McCain's photo.
"Trump chief of staff Mick Mulvaney said Sunday that it wasn't 'unreasonable' to ask that the USS John S. McCain be hidden during Trump's Japan visit last week," Franklin tweeted. "Trump doesn't follow me, but I wanted him to see the hero he will never be. @realDonaldTrump #Resist"
