Fashion Icon-Nixon Aide-Washington Insider: Roger Stone Talks the JFK Assassination and the Media

The Establishment Media and the JFK Assassination

My recent book, The Man Who Killed Kennedy – the Case Against LBJ, makes a compelling case that Lyndon Baines Johnson was the lynchpin of a plot to murder President John F. Kennedy. The book made the New York Times bestseller list and was the #1 Book on Amazon.com. The media establishment has not re-acted well to this important book. Among those who have attempted to discredit this controversial book is veteran “journalist” Hugh Aynesworth.
First a bit about Mr. Aynesworth then a stout defense of the case that Lyndon Baines Johnson had unique motive, means and opportunity to murder President John F. Kennedy and credible fingerprint evidence, and multiple eye-witness testimony tie a long time, proven LBJ hitman to the shooting from the Texas School Book Depository.
Jfk
Hugh Aynesworth has been revealed by released government documents, to be a CIA media asset who in the 1960’s coordinated with the Johnson White House and the FBI and the CIA in covering up the JFK assassination. Aynesworth was also working hand in glove with Clay Shaw’s defense team in New Orleans to undermine New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison.
A document declassified by the United States in 1966 is a CIA report written on October 10, 1963 when J. Walton Moore, the head of the Dallas CIA Domestic Contacts Division, reported to the chief of the Contact Division on “the possibility of Hugh Grant Aynesworth making a trip to Cuba.” [4] In other words, one month before the assignation J. Walton Moore – the same CIA agent who had been meeting regularly with the accused assassin’s (Oswald’s) best friend/CIA handler George DeMohrenschildt, was also meeting with Hugh Aynesworth about going to Cuba.
Shirley Martin, a journalist and researcher, wrote a 1967 letter to Garrison about Hugh Aynesworth as Garrison was coming under savage CIA coordinated media attacks at that time. The CIA and the FBI had also both infiltrated Garrison’s office by this time
Her letter to Garrison is illuminating.
Dear Mr. Garrison:
I am so sorry that Newsweek chose Hugh Aynesworth to use in its rebuttal of you.
In the summer of ‘64 I had a long talk with Mr. Aynesworth, introducing myself to him as a friend of a relative to General Clyde Watts, ex-Major General Edwin A. Walker’s close friend and attorney (Oxford). Mr. Aynesworth mistakenly assumed that I was a political conservative and immediately deluged me with disgusting anti-Kennedy stories. (“Kennedy needed a trip to Dallas like a hole in the head,” etc.) At the same time Mr. Aynesworth heaped what seemed to me to be inordinate praise on the city of Dallas, the Dallas police (Lt. George Butler, Captain Fritz, Chief Curry, etc.) and the Dallas Morning News (for which newspaper Aynesworth was working at the time.) He confided, too, that Tom Buchanan (Paris) was a “fairy” and detailed for me a number of extremely slanderous alleged incidents in the life of Mark Lane. In addition, Mr. Aynesworth definitely labeled Mr. Lane a “communist.”
Aynesworth was extremely bitter that Merriman Smith had won the Pulitzer for his coverage of the assassination. Aynesworth sarcastically remarked that Smith “did nothing and saw less” on the day in question, whereas he, Aynesworth was “…the only reporter in America to make all four big scenes.” (1)
In addition, Aynesworth boasted that a Commission attorney had already confided to him (in July) what the Commission verdict was to be (in September). Oswald would be named, but according to Aynesworth it was in reality “…a communist plot. Warren will do a cover-up for Moscow.”
Aynesworth insisted that Marina had had an affair with him after the assassination, and that during this period she had revealed to him that she and Ruth Paine had shared a Lesbian relationship prior to November 22, 1963. Aynesworth also declared that he had been on 10th Street “looking down on the Tippit murder scene at 1:05pm, not later than 1:10…” on November 22nd. (2) Needless to say, the “only reporter in America” to be in on all four “big scenes” was NOT called to testify before the Warren Commission, which did, however, call Thayer Waldo, Fort Worth reporter, because he had been in the police basement when Ruby shot Oswald. (3)
Finally, I have the statement by an employee of the Dallas Morning News that Aynesworth was deliberately and illegally given the allegedly stolen Oswald diary story by a Commission attorney who was in Dallas on business at that time. Earl Warren later put the FBI on the trail of this illegal “leak”, but as was to be expected no discoveries were made.
“This, then, is the man chosen by Newsweek to rebut you. What a pity Newsweek’s taste is so concentrated in its tail”, she concluded.
Mr. Aynesworth has continued to push the idea that there is one iota of evidence the Russians or Cubans assassinated JFK. There isn’t. It is, however, a lie LBJ personally promulgated to manipulate the men of the Warren Commission to his desired “conclusions.”
Neither Castro nor Khrushchev was elated by the hit on JFK. Khrushchev had just gotten the callow Kennedy to remove US Missiles from Italy and Turkey in a secret deal to resolve the Cuban Missile Crisis. Castro had been approached for a back channel communication with JFK through Ambassador William Atwood, a Princeton classmate of JFK. A French journalist had also passed a message from JFK though his wife Jackie to Castro that JFK “wanted to talk.” Neither had motive at the time JFK was killed. LBJ does.
Lyndon Johnson had unique and urgent motive in the murder of JFK. LBJ knew he faced political ruin and annihilation at the hands of Attorney General Robert Kennedy who had leaked evidence of bribery and corruption to LIFE magazine which planned it’s expose as a cover story in their Dec 1, 1963 issue. LBJ also knew powerful Syndicated Columnist Drew Pearson had written a column that will appear in 700 newspapers on Nov 24, 1963 exposing LBJ’s taking of a $10,000 bribe to fix a Defense contract for a Texas Company- General Dynamics. JFK had already told his personal secretary Evelyn Lincoln LBJ will be dumped from the 1964 ticket. Johnson faced political humiliation, Federal prosecution and prison.
The Man Who Killed Kennedy – the Case Against LBJ ties Mac Wallace irrevocably to Johnson. Aynesworth attempts to debunk the 34 point match fingerprint Wallace left on a cardboard box or the six eye-witnesses who see a man matching Wallace’s description (right down to his eye-glasses) in the window of the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository Building.
LBJ’s control of the Dallas Police Department, the Dallas District Attorney and the Dallas Country Sheriff’s Office is total. Perhaps this is why Robert Kennedy shed a message to the Russians saying that “Dallas was the perfect place for the crime”.
LBJ was the chief appropriator for the CIA, delivering them millions in secret “black box’ budgets tucked into Defense Appropriations and took bribes from the Mob; he is close to both. J. Edgar Hoover, knowing the Kennedys won’t waive his coming mandatory retirement based on his age, helps LBJ button up the investigation initially controlled in Dallas but turned over to the FBI to finish. Publically available tapes of LBJ talking to Hoover reveal they know Oswald did not kill Kennedy and did not act alone. LBJ also says this to Senator Richard Russell on tape.
Aynesworth would have you believe my case against LBJ relied solely on the statements of Madeline Duncan Brown, who had a sexual relationship with LBJ over a 20 year period. Brown confuses an early evening cocktail party and a meeting much later, after 1:00 am at the home of right wing oilman Clint Murchison. Many Dallas figures including Congressman Bruce Alger confirm attending the early party. Nixon Aide Charles McWhorter told me Nixon went to Murchison’s in gratitude for Murchison kicking in to Nixon’s 1962 campaign for Governor with $100,000. LBJ was not at the cocktail party; Nixon was. He was indeed seen at his hotel at 10 pm. LBJ arrives after midnight, when the party has died down. Nixon was not at the late night meeting. LBJ was. A housekeeper and a chauffeur both said on videotape when interviewed for the British TV show, The Men Who Killed Kennedy, that the late night confab was held behind closed doors and that LBJ, Hoover, Murchison, HD Byrd, and John Currington, a lawyer for HL Hunt, were in the meeting – the same names Brown sited.
Aynesworth also seeks to discredit LBJ crony Billie Sol Estes who testified under oath and under threat of perjury that he LBJ and LBJ Aide Cliff Carter planned the murder of US Agriculture Henry Marshall. Estes also testified that Carter knew of least 17 murders LBJ had ordered to cover up voter fraud or corruption. Estes lawyer Douglas caddy would write the Justice Department for Estes to testify of as to LBJ’s direct involvement with eight specific murdered including that of John F, Kennedy. Estes did this after serving of his time in prison and after LBJ’s death, when there was no conceivable benefit to him. Aynesworth invents a conversation with Billie Sol in which he says otherwise that never actually took place according to Bille Sol’s daughter.
LBJ was the lynchpin of a plot that included the CIA and their associates in Organized Crime with whom they plotted the assassination of Castro. Military Intelligence, Big Texas Oil, furious about JFK’s efforts to repeal their sweetheart tax break- the Oil Depletion Allowance – financed the coup d’etat.
“Cui prodest secleces est fict” say the Latins. “He who derives the greatest benefit from the crime is the one who committed it.” Don’t take the word of CIA disinformantist Hugh Ayneswoth. Read the compelling case I make against amoral psychopath Lyndon Baines Johnson in The Man Who Killed Kennedy- the Case Against LBJ.

Roger Stone Adds a Touch of Panache to JFK Research

Washington insider and political consultant, Roger Stone, recently went out on his book tour about the JFK assassination.

The Man Who Killed Kennedy:  The Case Against LBJ

While he has received much deserved attention on his book, noted JFK journalist Jefferson Morley has said "Why Roger Stone's book has to be taken seriously," one cannot help but notice his attire, his panache, his sense of style and beautifully tailored suits.

Right, following this JFK thing forever, the tiny details can get ...well...tedious.

Admiring Roger Stone's photos on his facebok page my mind automatically says "Savile Row."

The styling of his suits, the way they fit and the details--that is tailoring at its finest--that is Savile Row.

The pressing, the stitches, the fine fabric and the way the suit fits that particular individual.

Love the Row and love sewing and tailoring forever.

Thank you, Roger, for telling us about fine tailoring and showing us pictures of your very stylish suits and bow ties.

Just purchased my shirting fabric from Liberty of London--yes, it was very expensive but the fine quality and workmanship are worth it.

Just hoping my stitches and fit come out a little bit like Roger's.

Roger Stone serves as The Men's fashion Consultant for The Daily Caller.

Right, visiting London a few years ago, well, 2011, finally seeing Savile Row ....in person!  This is a little lengthy--wanting to just stay there forever and take pictures--unbelievable to actually see these very fine tailors at work.

And if you want shirting fabric London is the place to go.  It is a totally different deal than here in the states--the quality and the feel of the fabric.  I really should be there right now!

The Men Who Killed Kennedy...talking about LBJ

here we go with The Men Who Killed Kennedy Episode 9.........this is copied from you-tube.......

Talking about Bar McClellan and Roger Stone.

Really enjoyed Roger Stone's talk on Coast to Coast....Saturday night chatting about his new book The Man Who Killed Kennedy and his details about LBJ.

He referred to the show of  The Men Who Killed Kennedy featuring the information of Barr McClellan......I thought that made much more sense than Oswald acting alone and Roger Stone's  theory makes a lot of sense, too.   Some of the info is the same.

I did see that on the 40th anniversary as an update of TMWKK.

That was never shown again as far as I know and immediately after that Frank Sesno went on the Hx channel with experts and if my memory serves me correctly Dalleck was one of them denouncing the whole thing and saying there was no evidence.  Comments are welcome.

Its just odd that there are so many facts from Roger Stone and Mr McClellan.   It would be interesting to see if all of these facts about LBJ pointed out by these two experts could be proved false--they really make more sense than the Oswald philosophy.

This is my point:  why can't this go forward?  Is it because unless you can prove it absolutely beyond any shadow of a doubt it will be nixed out of respect for Johnson's daughters?

Because I guess how can the government say......oh well, we are so corrupt we let one president kill another.  Seriously, how can they say that to Caroline Kennedy.

There are too many facts....Bill Hemmer on Fox--an informant has Marcello saying he did it, but they will not release the tapes, so is that wrong, too.

Is everything wrong but Oswald?

And then the Bill O'Reilly thing...so many people believe him.  This is frustrating......I think the facts are there but they just cannot get it together basically through disinformation.....or from too many conflicting facts....can we ever gel this thing up, or what?

A simple explanation...J. Gary Shaw said it was basically a turkey shoot in Dallas....there were many factions angry about his arrogance.

Barr and Roger basically have the same story as E. Howard Hunt and I do not know why that is not taken more seriously, also.  I believe Hunt names Cord Meyer.....and that man certainly had motive....the Kennedys were wonderful but also very unapologizingly arrogant.

It seems like many knew it was going to happen but kind of looked the other way.....thanks for your time.

LBJ Killed JFK: The Roger Stone Interview on Coast to Coast

Everyone should hear the really good interview on Coast to Coast AM Radio from Saturday Night:  John B. Wells interviewing Roger Stone talking about his new book The Man Who Killed Kennedy.......

Roger was a long time staffer and also had a personal relationship with Richard Nixon.

The show is very interesting and informative, if you agree or not, it is good listening conversation and the time races by in seconds.

Here is a link to the show website and the page about the show:

here is Jeferson Morley interviewing Roger Stone:

this is copied from the website JFKfacts.......one of the best JFK websites out there:

Why Roger Stone’s JFK book has to be taken seriously

Let’s talk about power: Richard Nixon and Roger Stone.
Roger Stone is the first JFK assassination author to have worked in the White House and among the few who have personal acquaintances with JFK’s sucessors.
As a former aide to President Reagan and confidante of RIchard Nixon, Stone brings unique practical experience and personal contacts at the highest levels of American politics to a subject that has often been written about by people with neither.
Stone’s background doesn’t mean that his interpretation of November 22, 1963, is necessarily correct, but he cannot be dismissed as “conspiracy theorist” who is deluded about the realities of American politics and power.
To the contrary, he has far more first-hand experience with those Washington realities than an academic like John McAdams or a prosecutor like VIncent Bugliosi. I think Stone’s indictment of Lyndon Johnson deserves to be taken more seriously than anyone else’s precisely because of his White House experience.
In an email interview with JFK Facts, Stone opened up about his sources, why he wrote the book, and what he really thinks of Chris Matthews.
Q. To some liberal pundits, anyone who shows an abiding interest in the JFK assassination is seriously lacking in understanding of the realities of American politics, if not clinically mentally ill. I’m thinking of Cass Sunstein, Vince Bugiiosi, and Chris Matthews, for example. What’s your reaction to such pronouncements?
RS: I have been in the mainstream of American politics and have been a senior campaign staffer to three Presidents, having worked on eight national Republican Presidential campaigns. Long before I began my book, the House Select Committee on Assassinations essentially debunked the Warren Commission Report. The Assassination Records Review Board declassified enough documents to bolster the conclusions of the House Committee; there was a conspiracy to kill JFK. Oswald did not act alone — in fact I don’t think he acted at all.
My book is not disparate from many other groundbreaking works like James Douglass’, The Unspeakable; Phillip Nelson’s LBJ: the Mastermind of the JFK Assassination; Barr McClellan’s Blood Money & Power; Craig Zirbel’s Texas Connection; and Glen Sample and Mark Collom’s The Men on the Sixth Floor. I seek to build on these seminal works.
Yes, I believe that LBJ spearheaded a conspiracy funded by Texas Oil and assisted by elements of the CIA and the Mob. Yes, I think LBJ’s unique relationships with J. Edgar Hoover and the FBI, defense contractors, Texas Oil, and organized crime allowed him to spearhead a conspiracy. All had a stake in Kennedy’s death.
Candidly, I have know Chris Matthews for 30 years and have been on his TV show, Hardball. He is an egomaniac and pompous asshole who isn’t nearly as smart as he thinks he is. Liberals like Daniel Patrick Moynihan have done a disservice to the public by pigeonholing anyone who questions the Warren Commission conclusion as a “nut.” If this is true two-thirds of the people in America are “nuts.”

Stone’s book will be published in November 2013
Q. Where were you on the day it happened? Some people on the political right were known to have cheered the news? Did you hear any of that?
RS: I was 11 years old. I was in the Lewisboro (NY) Elementary School. Lots of my young classmates were crying. When the teacher asked why I wasn’t crying I said, “I’m a Republican.” Yet when I saw the photo in the New York Daily News of young John-John Kennedy saluting his father’s casket a few days later, I too wept.
Q. Your book reports on your conversations about JFK with Richard Nixon and John Mitchell about the assassination. How did you get these men to open up about such a sensitive topic?
I worked as a political advisor to President Nixon in his post-presidential years and spent many hours with him talking politics. Nixon liked a dry martini and he liked to talk politics. He was circumspect and never overtly said “LBJ did it” but he did say a number of things that more than indicate he believed this. My book details this. Nixon recognized Jack Ruby and knew him since 1947 as a “Johnson Man.” Upon seeing Ruby kill Oswald on national TV Nixon recognized him — and understood what had really happened in Dallas.
I first met John Mitchell at the Republican National Convention in 1968 when I was  a volunteer assigned to the messenger pool. He wrote me a letter of recommendation to Mort Allyn to secure me a post in the Nixon White House Press operation. I had little contact with him during Nixon’s re-election because I was the youngest staff member at CREEP (Committee to Re-Elect the President) and my boss, Herbert L. “Bart” Porter, and his boss Jeb Magruder, both warned me that “direct contact with Mr. Mitchell was out of the chain of command.”
By 1976, Mitchell was out of prison and quietly helping me line up Republicans for Ronald Reagan, convincing former Kentucky Governor Louie Nunn, to serve on the “Citizens For Reagan” being chaired by Senator Paul Laxalt. Mitchell had a small office in Georgetown. We used to drink at a bar in Georgetown called the Guards. Mitchell confirmed that many of the same things Nixon said to me he had also said to Mitchell. Mitchell shared his own conversations with Nixon.
Also beneficial were my interviews of Ambassador John Davis Lodge who confirmed that his brother Henry Cabot Lodge, JFK’s Ambassador to Vietnam, had knowledge of the involvement of the CIA and Lyndon Johnson in JFK’s murder.  I also interviewed long time Nixon aide Nick Ruwe who probably spent more waking hours with “RN” than any other individual, as well as John P. Sears, whose insights into Nixon and his thinking were invaluable.
I also had the opportunity to talk to Governor Jesse Ventura who’s research confirmed the link between the Bay of Pigs, JFK’s assassination and the downfall of Nixon in Watergate.
Q: In his memoir Bob Haldeman speculated that when Nixon spoke of “the whole Bay of Pigs thing” he was actually referring to JFK’s assassination. Did Nixon ever use that phrase in your conversations?
RS: Nixon ran a covert CIA operation to assassinate Fidel Castro when he was Vice President. Some of the CIA operatives and assassins involved in these plans, altered but not canceled after JFK’s surprise election, ended up working for the CIA in the Bay of Pigs fiasco. These same men, E. Howard Hunt and Frank Sturgis were involved in the JFK assassination. They would surface again in Watergate.
It is important to recognize that in 1963 Nixon was completely out of power and considered politically washed up. Like LBJ, Nixon still burned to be President but he was considered finished. Nixon understood the connection between the Bay of Pigs and the Kennedy assassination and came to understand Johnson’s role in Kennedy’s murder. After his comeback election in 1968, Nixon demanded all CIA records on the JFK assassination seeking them for leverage and insurance.
In my book I make the case that Watergate, like the JFK assassination, was a coup d’etat a in which the CIA participated. Once CIA veteran James McCord was brought in on the Watergate burglary plan, the CIA knew what Nixon’s minions were up to. The Bay of Pigs, the JFK assassination and Watergate are thus inextriplicably linked.
Nixon’s effort to get the CIA to instruct the FBI to back off the Watergate investigation was a threat to expose the CIA involvement in the murder of JFK, which he knew grew out of the Bay of Pigs Invasion failure.
Q. When did you decide to write this book? And why?
RS: I have worked on this book for at least 10 years and have worked on it intensely for the last two years. I am greatly indebted to my researcher and co-writer, Mike Colapietro. Some will say that I have some partisan angle as my motive for writing this book. In fact, Republicans Gerald Ford, George H.W. Bush, Earl Warren, Arlen Specter and John McCloy don’t come off well in the book. All play some role in the events of November 22, 1963.
Many people have asked me why I waited until now to write my book. When I told Mitchell I would write a book about the JFK assassination “someday,” he said, “on the 50th anniversary” and I agreed. I have honored that commitment.
Q. For some conservative commentators (I’m thinking Thom Mallon, James Swanson, and Gerald Ford), JFK conspiracy theories are a hobbyhorse that deluded leftists use to denigrate America and American power? Does your book denigrate America?
The evidence of a conspiracy is so overwhelming now that the vast majority of Americans believe they have not been told the truth by the government about the JFK assassination. It is important to note that John F. Kennedy was murdered not just because of his plans to wind down the Vietnam War, his entreaties for better relations with the Soviets and his efforts to repeal the oil depletion allowance but also because of his double cross of the mob after their support in the 1960 election and concern by many at the Pentagon about JFK’s drug use. Kennedy was in fact hopped up on intravenously injected meth during the 1960 debates as well as the Cuban Missile Crisis. JFK was no saint.
Q. I have always been personally skeptical about the “LBJ did it” theory because I don’t see much evidence that Johnson or his cronies knew about the existence of Lee Oswald, much less had contact with him or the ability to manipulate him. If LBJ organized the death of JFK what is your theory/evidence about who organized the patsy role for Oswald?
While Johnson was the primary mover of the assassination there is no doubt that the conspirators including the Dallas Police Department, the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, both perhaps unwittingly as well as  the Secret Service and the FBI, as well as rogue elements of the CIA. The agency set Oswald up as a patsy when fingerprint evidence demonstrates conclusively that the shooter from the sixth story window of the Texas Schoolbook Depository building was in fact Malcolm “Mac” Wallace, a longtime LBJ henchman whose ties to Johnson are thoroughly established and documented in my book.
Interestingly, LBJ acknowledged to both his mistress, Madeline Brown and his Chief of Staff, Marvin Watson, that the CIA was involved in Kennedy’s murder — not exactly his Warren Commission’s conclusion. LBJ was facing political ruin and prosecution and jail for corruption when he insisted on JFK’s visiting Texas and when Gov. John Connally insisted on visiting the Trade Mart and on the motorcade through Dealy Plaza.
I also delve in the LBJ the man. He was a monster. Power hungry, crude, vulgar, abusive, sadistic, vicious and often drunk, this is a man who reveled in his aides’ discomfort by conducting meetings while sitting on the toilet defecating. He had at least three illegitimate dhildren, two of whom are still living. I tie LBJ to at least eight political murders in his ascent to political power and his quest for money. Johnson’s capacity for lying, cheating and crime knew no bounds, which is why Jacqueline Kennedy said, “I never liked Lyndon Johnson and I never trusted him” and why Robert Kennedy described him as “an animal.” LBJ was a murderer, and perhaps even a functional lunatic.
“The difference between me and LBJ  was, we both wanted to be President but I wouldn’t kill for it” Nixon told me in 1989.
Q. Correct me if I am wrong but I think you are the only White House employee since JFK’s death who has ever written a book about JFK’s death. Why do you think that is?
RS: I have been a participant in mainstream American politics for 40 years. I had unique access to a number of individuals who played pivotal roles in the entire drama. While I understand that many JFK assassination researchers believe the President was killed by “the establishment” or the “military – industrial complex,” which would include munitions manufacturers, defense contractors, Texas oil, the CIA, the FBI and numerous ambitious politicians. What these researchers don’t understand is that “the establishment” is not monolithic. Members of the establishment don’t necessarily move in concert. The establishment is racked with its own intramural contests, rivalries and struggles for political power. While it may be true that many establishment figures either knew about Kennedy’s murder in advance or at least acquiesced in it, they were not conspirators themselves. Because I have seen these struggles firsthand I believe I am uniquely qualified to write this book.
Q. When will your book reach stores and Amazon?
My book will be in stores November 6, 2013. Amazon will ship pre-orders at that time. I will do a book signing at the Barnes and Noble in Dallas on November 22, 2013, as well as book signings in DC, Santa Monica and Ridgewood, New Jersey outside of New York City.
