Asking Bill O'Reilly:  Won't you please give Rev. Al the credit he deserves.....

Most often in disagreement with O'Reilly, once in a while agreeing--well I do think he loves the US just like most people--perhaps going about it in a different way.

Here is a chance for O'Reilly to give credit where it is due.....Bill won't you please acknowledge Reverend Al Sharpton at this time.

You always go on about being fair and balanced and this is your time to prove it.

Actually, Bill, you may not be in agreement and you are entitled to your opinion but here is your chance to be truly a giant in cable news--allowing others happiness and achievement--even when it is not what you would have chosen.

You go Bill, now on your truth, your no spin and your fair and balanced and prove your compassion for others.

Again, Bill, no one said you had to agree but showing respect for others will only make you more of a giant in your own field.

Thank you for your time......cl....the ronnie re

*(New York, NY) — Rev. Al Sharpton was honored on Sunday in New Orleans during the Essence Festival with the Icon Award.
Rev. Sharpton was surprised in front of a packed house at the Superdome in New Orleans with the award acknowledging his service as one of America’s greatest civil rights heroes.
The Icon Award was presented during a touching tribute to his work by three women whose lives he has impacted by bringing their stories to national attention. Kadiatou Diallo, mother of Amadou Diallo; Sybrina Fulton, mother of Trayvon Martin and Founder of the Trayvon Martin Foundation; and Nicole Paultre Bell, fiancée of Sean Bell and President and Founder of When It’s Real, It’s Forever Inc.; joined to thank him for his support. These women spoke to the audience about Rev. Sharpton’s tireless fight against injustice on behalf of their families, providing them hope and giving them a voice.
This was the 20th anniversary of Essence Festival and during the awards presentation Vanessa K. Bush, ESSENCE Editor-in-Chief and Michelle Ebanks, President of ESSENCE, reflected on his contributions to the magazine over the past two decades.
“Trayvon Martin. Sean Bell. Amadou Diallo. These men became our sons, our brothers and our husbands and he demanded the world to never forget,” said Vanessa K. Bush. “He fought for the mothers, sisters and wives who lost their men to senseless tragedy and he stood up and spoke out for them when there was no one else.”

Noam Laden Talking Today for Geraldo: WABC Radio New York Finally Comes To Its Senses

WABC news/talk radio New York finally comes to its senses with host Noam Laden filling in for vacationing regular talk-jay Geraldo Rivera.

Noam Laden, the regular news talker on the weekly morning show is a talented news/talker in his own right as well as working with Nancy Grace.

No, it was a very sad Monday morning tuning in to hear the mad man and Hillary basher.....isn't this the fellow that also had his info wrong the last time he was on and it was mentioned in this blog.

Man, Noam does a much better job.......like the G man and my girl Rita Cosby, Noam Laden does not possess the angry freak-out factor when a caller has a suggestion not to his liking.

Asking the age old question.....is news talk radio about the political conversation and public information or is it only about the opinions of the host.

Are we as listeners capable of making our own decisions or are we expected to only voice the ideas of the shouting host.

Seriously, the big G, Geraldo Rivera, runs one of the best talk radio shows out there today....particularly for a conservative station.

Hey, go out there and listen and tell The Ronnie Republic what you think.

and the GOP wonders what has happened to their party......

Good job, Noam, thanks for talking and thinking at the same time and well done to WABC for appreciating their home-grown talent......please, put the brakes on the mad man......what happened to Judge Andrew Napolitano......he was pretty good, too.

The Rick Baker Radio Show Sunday Night: Talking About the McStay Family and CNN

Update:   August 4, 2014

Just wondering if anyone out there has any information about the Rick Baker Radio Show.  Really enjoyed it and I wonder if it will be on again at a later date.

True crime is an interesting hobby and radio listening.  There are so many people out there that are very concerned and saddened by the events that took place around the McStay family.

The lady who wanted to place a memorial bench in San Clemente was truly inspirational.  She talked about the family with kindness and respect.

Perhaps the individual, Gray Hughes, would be interested in doing a show like Rick's.  I bet people would listen and call in.  It would be interesting to hear a detective like Mark Furhman, or really, any experienced law enforcement that  works on this type of case, give us his or her take on things.

I just think it is real good radio to find out what makes the police tick--we love to criticize but we are lost without them.

Good show--hope to see or hear it again soon or one like it.

Does any one out there know the story of Rick Baker and the reward money--that would be a fun aspect to explore, as well.

Comments welcome.....agree or disagree.

sat. update:  Mountain Mist will be a guest at a later date.....please keep checking rick's blog for comments and the latest on the Sunday show.......cl

The Justice For The McStay Show – NOW, More Than Ever

After last night's CNN failure of the McStays, this show is needed now more than ever.

If the national network is afraid to ask the tough questions of the players in this case, what hope do the rest of us have? CNN should be ashamed.

We must keep this case in the news, the public's eye. Joey and his family deserve this and I am sure he would have done it for any one of us.

Listening carefully to the SBSD Sheriff, I got the feeling that he is not expecting this case to be solved anytime soon.

Someone knows what happened. Someone needs to talk. Let's keep Joey and his family front and center.

The show is not about me. I want to here from you. I will take unlimited callers for each two-hour show and you will be able to talk with the guests I bring on.

July 6 inaugural show: Special Guest is Mountain Misst, Forensic Astrologist
(Second hour discussion about CNN show)

I appreciate those of you who have offered to advertise or offset expenses for the show, but I've got this. Thanks again.
