The Elephant in the Room and Bill O'Reilly

Seriously, Bill O'Reilly acts real angry at the idea that President Obama refuses to follow his plan......financial restrictions aimed at Putin.

Then he repeats it often...President Obama will not follow his plan on immigration or Russia.

He is extremely annoyed at the actions or lack there of at President Obama.

The elephant in the room.......he keeps mentioning it in an aggravated tone....as if he actually is correct and the current administration is wrong.

He says he is fair and balanced often throwing President Obama a bone to prove his point--he does not want to impeach President Obama.

What he fails to mention is the notion that the President already has advisers--paid experts on the subject to give him different tried and true strategies and options.

Is Bill O'Reilly an adviser to Barack Obama?

Does Barack Obama care what Bill o"Reilly thinks--does he value his opinion.

Is Bill O'Reilly important to President Obama.

At the end of the day......O'Reilly does not count and President Obama does not care what he says......he is unimportant and irrelevant.

Bill, maybe on our next President's watch you can talk......ooops......wait, that might be my girl, Hillary Clinton.  Let's see if you can get father with your advice with Mrs. Clinton.

Good luck, Bill.

At the end of the day Bill O'Reilly does not count

Official photographic portrait of US President...
good job
Charles Redick ·  Top Commenter
Yes, most of the time his outrage is phony. But his racism is very real.

reply to Charles Redick..........I do think that is the key....if you listen to him closely over a period of time there is almost no other conclusion. He tries to hide it but it does become apparent.....he says very, very dangerous and bad things.

Also, I think he is so in love with his own brand of Catholic guilt--if someone does not live by his rules he cannot handle it......and.....

He wants to be relevant. Thanks to President Obama and his policies that are basically opposite of Bill O'Reilly he is not important--he does not get to talk. No one important is listening to Mr. O'Reilly.

At the end of the day Bill O'Reilly does not count.

Bill O'Reilly Flips Out On Juan Williams Over Immigration

Posted: Updated:
Print Article

Arguing in favor of accepting undocumented children into the United States seems to be the quickest way to infuriate Bill O'Reilly these days.
The Fox News host and his panel were discussing conservative pundit George Will's recent call to assimilate the undocumented children being held at the US border into the country. Speaking on O'Reilly's show Monday, contributor Juan Williams agreed that children should not simply be deported.
O'Reilly — who has made his views on the border crisis clear — claimed that half of immigrant families receive entitlements, an argument that Williams dismissed by saying that the elderly and other groups also get entitlements. That set O'Reilly off.
The host declared Williams' ideas "insane," and alleged he was "dodging the consequences of an open border." The heated debate had O'Reilly jabbing his pen toward the camera and shouting at Williams, "You are an open border guy! That's who you are!" More shouting ensued.

Asking Bill O'Reilly: Won't you please give Rev. Al the credit he deserves.....

Asking Bill O'Reilly:  Won't you please give Rev. Al the credit he deserves.....

Most often in disagreement with O'Reilly, once in a while agreeing--well I do think he loves the US just like most people--perhaps going about it in a different way.

Here is a chance for O'Reilly to give credit where it is due.....Bill won't you please acknowledge Reverend Al Sharpton at this time.

You always go on about being fair and balanced and this is your time to prove it.

Actually, Bill, you may not be in agreement and you are entitled to your opinion but here is your chance to be truly a giant in cable news--allowing others happiness and achievement--even when it is not what you would have chosen.

You go Bill, now on your truth, your no spin and your fair and balanced and prove your compassion for others.

Again, Bill, no one said you had to agree but showing respect for others will only make you more of a giant in your own field.

Thank you for your time......cl....the ronnie re

*(New York, NY) — Rev. Al Sharpton was honored on Sunday in New Orleans during the Essence Festival with the Icon Award.
Rev. Sharpton was surprised in front of a packed house at the Superdome in New Orleans with the award acknowledging his service as one of America’s greatest civil rights heroes.
The Icon Award was presented during a touching tribute to his work by three women whose lives he has impacted by bringing their stories to national attention. Kadiatou Diallo, mother of Amadou Diallo; Sybrina Fulton, mother of Trayvon Martin and Founder of the Trayvon Martin Foundation; and Nicole Paultre Bell, fiancée of Sean Bell and President and Founder of When It’s Real, It’s Forever Inc.; joined to thank him for his support. These women spoke to the audience about Rev. Sharpton’s tireless fight against injustice on behalf of their families, providing them hope and giving them a voice.
This was the 20th anniversary of Essence Festival and during the awards presentation Vanessa K. Bush, ESSENCE Editor-in-Chief and Michelle Ebanks, President of ESSENCE, reflected on his contributions to the magazine over the past two decades.
“Trayvon Martin. Sean Bell. Amadou Diallo. These men became our sons, our brothers and our husbands and he demanded the world to never forget,” said Vanessa K. Bush. “He fought for the mothers, sisters and wives who lost their men to senseless tragedy and he stood up and spoke out for them when there was no one else.”

Why Bill O'Reilly and Bill Maher Can Never Be Taken Seriously

Bill O'Reilly
Bill "I'm mad."' O'Reilly
Well, it's quite simple isn't it?

He is in the same boat as Bill Maher.

Once one delves into the ugly habit of name calling of anyone, but particularly of a public official, current or past, and then tries to pass themselves off as a serious news show......someone with a relevant opinion......well, it's just not happening.

Considering the Ronnie Republic to be a critic of Bill O'Reilly and The Factor it is common to try and take in every show.

One critic would be stopped dead in their tracts by the recent insults handed out with such zeal and abundance--angry excitement--the information limit was at the boiling point.

Is it a hatred of women, hatred of people of color, hatred of something he does not understand, that he has to ridicule, humiliate and name call--laugh at--laugh at things and people he cannot understand.....afraid of a new concept--a new look.

Calling Susan Rice a "moron" was it.

This lady is not only extremely accomplished but an official representing our President and our government.

I thought it was just President Obama Bill was so unnerved by but now I fear it may be women.

Following Hillary Clinton forever it is feared the barrage of insults and slurs from this very funny man will be more one can endure.

Actually, it may be his demise if he cannot control his excitement at insulting women and news-rage, his obvious disease.

Insisting our beautiful President, who does not like war and values all of the lives of the citizens of our country--our beautiful coat of many colors--he so very well represents is failing every day and meeting his power end--in fact, the opposite may be true.

It will be the demise of O'Reilly--fueled by his own zeal and hatred.

Like Bill Maher, imbibing in an overdose of their own fame, they over step their bounds believing they can get away with it due to popularity.

Once an insult is dished out--name calling--there is no real answer.  Disagreeing with Sarah Palin most of the time one values her right to speak.  Just asking.....what would have been Governor Palin's response to Bill Maher.  What should be Susan Rice's response to Bill O'Reilly.

Should these women spew back the same kind of retort?

Both of the Bills lost site of their argument once they name called.  It is the end of the political discussion.  They ended it because there is not a response to name calling of the nature they engaged in being out of the realm of the discussion or talking points as Bill so well likes to preach.

No, Bill, you ended it--you went way off your talking points.

You better watch yourself Bill--My Hillary may be the beginning of your end.

The Ronnie Republic--Chloe Louise--Hillary girl forever.

Bill O'Reilly on White Privilege: That goes against my platform

Avatar

Of course Billo and Varney aren't aware of white privilege. They have never lived without it. No one wants to believe they had a special advantage.
I would write more but Leonard Pitts did a better job expressing it:
"...White men are the biggest beneficiaries of affirmative action this country has ever seen.
That's not rhetoric or metaphor. It's only truth.
If affirmative action is defined as giving someone an extra boost based on race, it's hard to see how anyone can argue the point. Slots for academic admission, for employment and promotion, for bank loans and for public office have routinely been set aside for white men. This has always been the nation's custom. Until the 1960s, it was also the nation's law.
So if we want to talk about achievements being tainted by racial preference, it seems only logical to start there. After all, every worthwhile thing blacks achieved prior to the mid-'60s — Berry Gordy's record label, John Johnson's publishing company, Alain Leroy Locke's Rhodes scholarship, Madame C.J. Walker's hair care empire, Dr. Daniel Hale Williams' pioneering heart surgery — was done, not just without racial preference, but against a backdrop of open racial hostility.
By contrast, nothing white men have ever achieved in this country was done without racial and gender preferences..."

Right, we were basically a poor to middle income family, working hard, trials and tribulations of alcohol, etc..........but I guess my Grandma seemed to always have a vision for everyone so my uncle ended up going to Annapolis and MIT.........why was this dream realized for a very un-special family? I think one of the answers that Bill cannot bring himself to comprehend is social mobility. Obviously, that existed for us but does that hold true for every group in our United States society. We are making progress with President Obama but as you have indicated, white privilege has existed forever.
Like you said....Bill can't believe it and that is my question......why.....what is wrong with him that he cannot allow himself to accept these facts........always trying to figure out what makes the old bird tick and why is he so popular.

            • Avatar

Ego and pride might be the explanation. Billo often tries to arrogantly explain minority issues even though it is obvious that he has little ability or desire to understand the complexities of said issues. He can't allow himself to accept facts because it goes against what everything he has known to be the truth. Plus, he has to tell his mostly older, White, conservative Christian audience what they want to hear, and they don't want to hear about how good they've had it.

                  Yes....ego, pride and arrogance.
He is so in love with his own cherished Catholic guilt.
He loves to be the mad Catholic.
His refusal to accept some facts--teen-age boys are assaulted for gang affiliation--Hispanic boys of age 12 in certain neighborhoods are targeted. That fact would go against his argument. Would he accept it.....
And, as you said, his audience--when he refers to his watchers he talks about the ones that admonish him for not being more tea party-ish. So those are the people he is listening too, right?
He is not really interested in the political conversation because then he would have to ponder what the other person said and discuss it. He would rather shoot down the guest with a trick question than take in new information.
Pride......he can't ever be wrong. He may admit he was wrong on a little point but never on his platform.
Honestly, is he capable of being humble.
