Cliff Albert of KOGO Am Radio San Diego Interviews Danuta of Sun Up Fame

Hey, do you  remember Sun Up San Diego.......

Bob Mills, Sue White, Gerry G. Bishop, Ray Wilson and Danuta?Danuta Soderman Pfeiffer Chiseled book

Gosh, we watched them every morning on  CBS Channel 8 growing up in San Diego.

Seriously, I said Hi to Bob Mills at the Del Mar Fair one time and felt I had met a celebrity.

Well, we  had the pleasure of hearing Cliff Albert interviewing Danuta Pfeiffer this afternoon on KOGO 600 News/Talk Radio in San Diego.

It was so fun to hear about  Danuta because I had always wondered what had happened to her after she left Sun Up for  The PTL 700 Club.

Always admiring Danuta's  faith I had looked her  up on the Internet several times.

Well, it turns out Danuta Pfeiffer  really  did not have as much of a story book life as it appeared on San Diego morning television.

Always remembering her cheery personality--she just seemed genuine to me.

Danuta has decided to write a book called "Chiseled," describing her confusing life of trials and tribulations.

Actually, my life, like many others, has been confusing, also, and it is always appreciated to find out how someone deals with the problems life throws at us yet maintains their strength.

I think Danuta is still trying to decipher the legacy her  father has left her  and my heart went out to her on that note.

Danuta Pfieffer also  had the courage to share with the listeners her story of having a baby  all by  herself alone in her room at  the ripe old age of sixteen years old.

You see here is  what happens........when life gives you some of these  turns one ends up not having the wisdom or the confidence or self-esteem to always  make the best decisions--particularly at a young age.

At the  end of the  day it  is real hard  to always do the right things given this unusual string of events that can lead to ridicule  from other adults.........actually, it can hurt  your feelings..

Good job Cliff  and Danuta and  thank you for  telling us about your  very interesting life.  I can't wait to read  your  new book and I  wish you the best of luck.

I  think this heartfelt book will give other women courage.....well done.

Here is a link to her website and more information about her book:

Did I hear that correctly....was I  asleep......

Did George Noory really have to add an outer space dating service to Coast to Coast AM.

Always listening to talk radio including my favorite nighttime talk show Coast to Coast AM........

But, Seriouusly, George....what  are  you thinking.

Why not concentrate on the guest once in a while.

Why not focus on what  the guest has to say, act interested.....maybe  stop thinking  about your financial or political agenda just for a  few moments.

George, you are digging your own grave--you were so good at first.

Actually, one could  say you were one of the best talk shows out there--interesting--letting the guest talk--entertaining--perfect for the night.

But you obsession with making money and  Jerome Corsi is  ridiculous.

Art Bell is coming back, and I for one will be listening,

What  has  happened to nighttime  radio--George you have got to realize that some of your listeners are Democrats who agree with the policies of our beautiful President, Barack Obama and  can't wait for  Hillary Clinton.

George, my patience  is  running thin--you never  even do a  feature  about  cats.

What is this world  coming to.

right now Chloe and I are just waiting for Art Bell

A Vacation for Mom and Chlo  Langendorf...........

The Walker as a Weapon

file under:

are old people annoying or what...........

Seriously, has  anyone out  there ever  noticed that old people use their walkers as weapons on a regular basis.

No, it's all about the walker......nothing else matters.

Baseboards, paint, rugs--they're all susceptible  to an early demise once  they meet  the likes of an old person driving a walker.

Readers, I'm talking about driving straight over the dog's tail--I didn't mean to--What about  the possibility of opening up  your eyes and looking..........

It's an unrelenting source of power!

My mother  takes out the refrigerator door on a regular basis.

Do  not believe me.........

Have  you ever  had  the pleasure of trying to get on a elevator with a senior driving  a walker.

It's always an emergency situation......just jump out of  the way immediately or you could  easily be  hurt.

The oldster would never feel bad about it  because  the door was closing and they had to get in and  you know the rest.........

this  is  the philosophy.......just  accept it.

the  walker becomes the most important person in the room--unapologetically.

At the end of the day one just has to accept it......

Your thoughts.......

Next post........the decorated  walker.........

I think President Obama and Joe Biden might be best friends.......

So lucky  to  hear the words of President Obama........my heart goes out to Joe Biden and the Biden family.

No it has to be  said.......Noam and Geraldo held interesting discussions all week talking about race in America......what are the reasons for inner city poverty and what about stop and frisk.

Well, Geraldo has made it  very clear that he would like to reinstate stop and frisk...it is safer for everyone involved---on all sides of the issue and it is better for commerce in New York city giving the example of increased theatre sales and tourism this summer.

This blog writer  tends to agree with Noam Laden--yes, there  are problems right now but is stop and frisk fair?  Noam has given the example of the caller who said he is a business owner but never the less, he has been thrown up against the wall by police officers and treated in an unkind manner simply because of his color or the way he was dressed.  This  fellow owns a  bail bond business.

It seems  there is  a much larger problem and one can remember  John Edwards  when he said there were two Americas.

We have to give credit to Geraldo Rivera and Noam Laden for discussing the issue and disagreeing on the main premise......they both do want fair treatment for everyone  but again, stop and frisk is at the crux of the issue.

Noam and Geraldo are not afraid to listen to the callers.  Geraldo's  show can always be credited with actually being a "talk" show--one of the few out there that can wear the title of news/talk with honesty.  Geraldo is not afraid for anyone to disagree with him.....everyone from the big political talkers to the angry grandmas to the police department...they are all going to call up  and tell Geraldo what they think.

Noam Laden said this  morning that he enjoyed reading the recent book of former police commissioner Bernie Kerik.  Bernie is a friend of Geraldo and Noam and a friend of the show.  Bernie also has the gift of putting a human emotion on the face of the police officers.    It is so easy to say all of the cops out there are only good or bad.

thanks, Bernie for reminding us that the hard working police officers are human beings with families.

Noam said that  Bernie has  also reminded us in his  book that once someone is in prison there is no rehabilitation coming out.  One is just left out there on their own to fend for themselves without any kind of training whatsoever.

I can only refer to my friend in Wichita in the lower income part of town.  He  recently got out of prison and he had so little knowledge to help  him move forward.   He did  not have any job skills, any computer skills, any television, four kids he was trying to raise with his girl. The rehab guy from the prison had apparently run off with the  cash that was intended to help the recent men released.

This very friendly individual was trying so very hard to  live correctly--he had so little going for him.  He had absolutely zero social mobility.

Yes, one could  say everything was of his own doing  but  he  had so little to go on when he wanted to live correctly.  The problems  he had were so removed  from this  blogger one  could  not imagine  his struggles.

The words of  John Edwards still  ring true today.

As  Noam and Geraldo and Bernie  suggested the problem is  very much deeper than stop and frisk.  the problem of poverty seems so complex the answer must be  very difficult.

Good  job  to  Noam and Geraldo and Bernie for trying to talk  about the issue and bringing in the opinion and thoughts of the folks of the city.

Thanks for not being afraid..
