Can you help my friends in Bethlehem--they need a home, too. Folks, my mom gave me a home and honestly, I have had very good fortune and I would like to pay it forward. There are some real good kids out there in the area of Bethlehem and they need a home, too. It is just a little bit more difficult for them to find a place to stay because unlike San Diego and Los Angeles they are not surrounded by huge cities and giant countries with plenty of prospective parents just waiting to bring an individual into their house. Like me, these guys are not only good looking but they, too, have sensational personalities....seriously! There is a lady there, Diana George Babish, and she has made a special house just for us......but here is the thing--there is just too many of us that need a home. If you are heading over to Tel Aviv, let her know--we are all ready to go. We are chipped, healthy, we have our passports and we are all set to go home with you. Now, here's Chuch.......
Another liberal talk show host is about to leave WCPT 820-AM, the Newsweb Radio progressive talk station.
Bill Press has announced he’s stepping down from the syndicated program he has hosted for 14 years, effective May 31. His show airs on WCPT from 6 to 8 a.m. Monday through Friday.
His departure from the station follows that of afternoon host Ben Joravsky, who was cut in December, and syndicated evening host Norman Goldman, who retired in February. They were replaced by Joan Esposito and Rick Ungar, respectively.

“Bill has enjoyed a remarkable, award-winning career as a political commentator, media insider and author,” said Mark Pinski, general manager of Newsweb Radio. “Our listeners will miss him, but they should look forward to connecting with our next morning drive host. We are excited and our listeners will be too.”
Pinski said a replacement for Press is expected to be announced later this week.
Press, 79, a former CNN and MSNBC commentator and author of seven books, will launch a podcast in June with a focus on the 2020 presidential election, according to published reports.
“We’ve had a great 14 year run of daily shows, but it’s time to transition,” Press tweeted. “The last daily show will be May 31, but don’t worry! My voice will still front and center as we enter the 2020 election. Big news coming soon!”
Friday’s comment of the day: Michael Gay:Thanks for sorting out exactly where this pardon among thieves comes from. What an absolute disgrace.
Touring the countryside of Palestine with Bike Palestine, enjoying the history, the food, the olive groves and almond orchards one could not help but notice the stray dogs.
Why are all of these dogs just hanging around all by themselves out in the country?
After barking all night at our hotel in Jenin taking pictures at 6 AM was mandatory.
I will never get this guy out of my mind.......
He was young and he was friendly but he had to keep sitting down.

She is working very hard to save these beautiful animals but faces many challenges to find homes due to physical and political isolation.
Will you help me get the word out and also nominate her for a CNN Hero......this will give her a really big exposure in the United States and help her find homes for her friends.
Thank you for reading and here is a link to a post about her giving all of the important information:
OK, that headline is an exaggeration, BUT, have you ever tried to negotiate what it takes to do a podcast that looks to deliver something worth listening to? That the Coming Soon shingle on our homepage is now replaced with our new podcast actually is pretty miraculous to me. All the strategizing and designing and finagling and waiting and reminding and nagging, with a little begging thrown in so Leonard Cohen could deliver people to me, has been a long journey to NOW.
Listen to podcast guest, Mary Reed, an "unwitting mystic," who shares her startling transformational story of embodying the wisdom that we're all looking for.
What could get the world to change to where the good of the whole is as important to us as personal gain? It has been called way too broad, even mega-maniacal to think that in the bat of an eye we could change what’s fundamental. But, you know, that’s just an opinion. All that would have to happen, for example, is a visitation from an intelligent being not local to Earth. I’m not saying I have that guest, but just that doubters should open their minds to the miraculous. Just being alive is beyond comprehension. Where did all the species come from? Open minds are all that should exist. Throw out all other attributes and keep curiosity and we’d be OK.
In my podcast, I'm looking for wild ideas, survival tips for living in the present madness, and whatever else I can wring out of people who could help us become who we need to be in the world we need to create. Beyond issues, it’s about mindset. Change minds and we change the world.
iTunes is the preferred listening post but if you don’t have that you can listen on Google Play. Please listen and we'd love to hear comments.

My dream lover, Leonard Cohen, who supplied the theme song for my podcast, was on a monastic trip when I created my non-profit, Mighty Companions, and I asked him, in New Age language that’s a little embarrassing today, if he’d join my pool of Wisdom Advisors. This was his response:
Thank you, my angel, wherever you’ve flown off to, for the gift of Suzanne!

As the gorillas arrive in the sanctuary at a young age, they learn from their caretakers, said Shamavu.
"In terms of behavior, they like to mimic everything that is happening (around them), everything we do," Shamavu told The Associated Press.
He said the caretakers at Senkwekwe Mountain Gorilla Orphanage Center try to give the animals as much access as possible to their natural environment, but they inevitably exhibit "almost the same behavior as humans."
Senkwekwe is named after one of the wild silverback gorillas that was killed in Virunga in 2007.
The orphans need constant care, so the rangers live nearby and spend their days with them - feeding them, playing with them, keeping them company.
"Gorilla caretakers with those gorilla orphans, we are the same family," said head caretaker Andre Bauma.
He said without their own relatives nearby, the gorillas treat the rangers as their family.
"They know we are their mum. They are a member of the family. We are their friends," said Bauma.
Virunga is billed as Africa's most biodiverse national park, spanning tropical forests, snow-peaked mountains and active volcanoes.
It's also one of the last bastions of wild mountain gorilla populations. Parks in the mountains of Congo, Rwanda and Uganda have the last remaining mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.
But it's in eastern Congo, an area that has suffered from years of armed conflict.
Virunga's management has had to take extraordinary measures to keep its visitors safe from the on-and-off fighting in the region - protecting them with a highly trained guard of elite rangers and sniffer dogs, and working closely with communities surrounding the park.
After a park ranger was killed by gunmen and three foreign tourists were briefly held captive, the park closed until it could secure the safety of visitors. It reopened in mid-February this year.
But all this costs money, and the state park says it wouldn't be able to survive without private donations from visitors.
Virunga's management hopes the viral gorilla selfie will help boost the park's profile, and encourage more people to contribute to the vital work of conserving the mountain gorillas and their unique natural habitat.
