kids Love Building at The Nature Exploration Area in Balboa Park

The Nature Exploration Area at Balboa Park in San Diego is very popular with kids that love to build.

It is located right next to the Dog Park at Morley Field and right behind the Tennis Courts at the Morley Field Sports Complex.

A particularly beautiful evening:

Baby Red Tail Hawks: Morley Field Dog Park, Balboa Park, San Diego

At the dog park:

Hard to see the birds but there were three in the nest.

The nest at the dog park has been there for several years.  Every day the birds put on a show learning to fly.

The lady love:
Coco the dog came from Mexico where she lived on her own.  She was stabbed and then she was rescued by Negar and Judy from Paws4Thought Animal Rescue in Bonita.

We are best friends now.

Recently visiting Palestine and noticing there are quite a few stray dogs in need of assistance.

There is a lady in Bethlehem and she is working very hard to help them.

Her name is Diana George Babish and she has an animal shelter there with very many lovely dogs that need homes.

Can you go over to Tel Aviv and pick one up.  It is actually cheaper than shipping them as cargo and Diana can easily provide all of the papers and a kennel.

Or just help to get the word out.

Their hardships are magnified by political and physical isolation.

here is a link to more info about them including her facebook page:

Thanks for reading......if anyone has any ideas about helping Diana please offer you suggestions.

Starlight Over San Diego

Do you remember going to musicals here...........

So I am saying around 1960 we got Kentucky Chicken, had a picnic on the grass and then saw a show, it was really fun.

In the 90's I do believe we saw the infamous Annie that is credited with the Starlight's demise.

And recently, around 2008, walking my dog in route to enjoy Twilight in The Park, the free evening concerts at the Organ Pavilion and noticing a lot of action taking place at the Starlight Theatre as if a very large show was just ready for production.

So what are your thoughts......do you think a face lift is in order and will it be profitable......there are always a lot of planes, San Diego is a beautiful city for an open air evening event.

Will Starlight live or die.

South Park San Diego: The Coyotes Go to the Dog Park Too

Canis latrans Français : Un coyote en Arizona

Talking about the Grape Street Dog Park in The South Park, Golden Hills, Balboa Park area of San Diego.......this is adjacent to the municipal golf course in Balboa Park and also part of the Balboa Park Trails.

My friend and I often go to the dog park.....he was just telling me a coyote killed a dog at the park the night before last. It was around 8 PM

Apparently the coyote attacked the dog and paralyzed it by injuring the spine. The dog become incapacitated and unable to move. I guess the owner jumped in but nevertheless the poor dog had to be euthanized.
My condolences to everyone who has lost an animal and particularly to this family recently suffering this violent tragedy......my heart goes out to you.
Good luck to everyone....I recently just moved from Granada and Elm where coyotes and I shared the cement path going down to my house and the canyon.
Seriously, one evening I went out to walk Ronnie and I thought the neighbor's elderly Akita had gotten out as this large German Shepard type was lingering in the street.
You know the story.......the only way I finally figured out it was a coyote, as it looked huge and well-cared for......is that is acted exactly like Wiley Coyote and it had a very pointy nose.
I saw this twice around dusk........the coyotes just strolling down the street.
Honestly, the coyotes go to the dog park, too."
