Dear Hillary: On donald trump and Hipocrisy--Will I Be Jailed?
Margaret Sanger Deutsch: Margaret Sanger (* 1879) (Photo credit: Wikipedia) |
hy·poc·ri·sy
the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform; pretense.
On donald trump and his confusing, contradicting message.
Thinking donald trump is a product of and one who has enjoyed the sexual revolution of the sixities and the seventies and women's lib one would wonder why he would want punishment for those who have made an error in birth control regarding this issue.
He promoted a picture of his beautiful wife, Melania and bragged about her photo in GQ--her photo without clothes--one would conclude a photo of a beautiful and lovely woman without clothes, fur blanket to boot, his private jet.....wouldn't this give the viewer and listener a picture of sex, sexual attraction.
Let's use other words--an opportunity for pregnancy.
This picture of Melania suggests he would promote sex out of marriage, the use of birth control, unless he wants the prospect of having children every time anyone acts on the idea of this picture. One would also think he is in favor of sex outside of marriage by his history of girlfriends separate from his wife--while he was married.
So while he promotes sex and the idea of it for men he also wants the woman to be punished and even serve jail time if they would choose not to have children if a pregnancy ensued.
Just wondering--is donald trump promoting health care, education on birth control or just punishment for women only and as he mentioned, no punishment for the man.
So the man can fool around and be promiscuous, no consequences, no responsibility for birth control, money or raising children but the woman or the health care provider, doctors and nurses can go to jail.
This does not seem right to me.
He is going back to the dark ages.
Then, later as he tried to rectify his stupidity of his words he suggested possibly the woman should not be punished but the workers that participate in the procedure and the facility.
TAB--Therapeutic Abortion or D and C--Dilatation and Curettage is a routine hospital and surgery center procedure.
Yes, it is for termination of pregnancy and the same procedure is used for many reasons such as obtaining specimens.
As a nurse does this mean I would potentially have to face jail time for going to work because one can not always opt out of routine procedures.
Something is not right about his thought process.
It is embarrassing for our country that this individual is running for our leader.
I am afraid of this man who proclaims that no one would have a better ability to provide health care to women than him.
If this is the archaic kind of health care he wants to provide for women let me think about moving to a country with a more modern system.
The man is uninformed--the man needs to get up to speed before he runs for President.
Please keep up the good work with Planned Parenthood and education for women. I will be voting for you in November.
I do not know if it is possible to educate donald trump.

I Will Never Call Her Again: Mother The Narcissist
U.S.
'I Will Never Call Her Again': Daughter of Missing Indiana Woman Discovered 42 Years Later Has No Plans for a Happy Reunion
staff@people.com (Hilary Shenfeld @HilaryShen),People 2 hours 20 minutes ago
After more than 40 years of thinking her mother was dead, Tammy Miller got the surprise of her life this week when she found out her that her mother was actually alive and living under a new name 1,200 miles away.
But her story doesn't have a fairytale ending and there are no plans for a joyous, tearful reunion. "I'm angry," Miller, 45, tells PEOPLE in her first extensive interview. "This isn't going to be one of those happy, made-for-TV movies." Miller's mother, Lula Ann Gillespie-Miller, left her Laurel, Indiana, home in 1974 at the age of 28, leaving behind Tammy and her other three small children – another girl and two boys. The family received a letter from Gillespie-Miller in 1975 postmarked from Richmond, Indiana, but didn't hear from her again and believed she was long dead, Miller says, assuming that her body was one discovered in 1975 in Richmond. The case of the unidentified woman in Richmond had long grown cold when police revived it in 2014, according to Indiana State Police. While investigating that case, they eventually learned on Thursday that Gillespie-Miller, 69, was in fact living in Texas under a different name, police say. "I could have fell out of my chair," Miller says. "I was shocked."

"I will never call her again"
Miller says she called her mother on Friday, but the woman said she couldn't talk. "It was less than a two minute conversation," Miller says. "She said, 'I'll call you when I'm able to talk,' " but it's a call Miller doesn't think will happen. "I will never call her again," Miller said. "It felt like being rejected all over again."Miller says she's still processing a range of emotions after thinking for decades that her mother was dead, but now realizing that her mother made a decision to disappear. "It's almost like going through the grieving process again," Miller says. "I'm glad she's alive, but it hurts emotionally knowing this was her choice."
Grandmother did an "awesome" job raising the kids
According to Miller, her mother led a troubled life, including alleged involvement with alcohol, dealing with the death of her husband in 1969 in a car accident and an alleged violent assault and rape in 1974. "She really wasn't taking care of us kids that well," Miller said. In 1971, Gillespie-Miller turned over their care, says Miller, who grew up in Indiana with her half-siblings, a sister, now 50, and two brothers, now 49 and 47.They were raised by a woman she calls "Grandma Catherine," whose son Joseph was the father of the three older kids and who died in 1969, says Miller, who claimed she is the product of an affair her mother had with a married man."My grandmother who raised me did an awesome job," Miller says. "She never went one day without letting us kids know she loved us."
Miller says she doesn't know why her mother left in 1974. "I don't know what mother would do that," Miller says. "I would walk through fire for my kids." But Miller does give her credit for leaving the kids in good hands. "She did one thing right, that was giving us to our grandma," Miller says. "That was the best decision she ever made." When police knocked on her door, Gillespie-Miller didn't know why they were there, according to her daughter. "She told them, 'Why would anybody be looking for me? I've been living here for the past 20 years,' " Miller says. Gillespie-Miller could not be reached by PEOPLE for comment.
"I'm going to have a wonderful life"
Miller is now a divorced mother of three children – ages 26, 23 and 20 – and she raised a fourth child, 21, with her long-time boyfriend. She works in Indiana as an administrative assistant for a company that provides speech, occupational and other therapies to children.Miller said she feels a sense of relief knowing that she now has at least some answers about her mother. "I'm going to have a wonderful life," she says. "I know it wasn't my fault. It was her loss."

An Officer and a Gentleman and a Dog: So Sorry for the Loss of Your Daughter
An officer from Alabama trekked all the way to Arkansas to reunite a grieving family with their dead family member's beloved dog. McKenzie Catron, 19, died in a car crash last weekend in Dothan, AL while on spring break. Her car ran off the road and struck a utility pole. The passenger in Catron's car was critically injured, but survived. Catron did not. Sgt. Jonathon Whaley was the first on the scene, according to KHBS. As Catron's passenger was rushed to the hospital, witnesses told Whaley about the dog seen running from the wreck.jonathon Whaley,
"We felt we needed to find the dog," Sgt. Whaley told Fox 5 Atlanta. "We were going to do whatever we needed to do to reunite this dog with this family."
Police officers, firemen and, eventually, hundreds of local volunteers combed the area looking for Kai, Catron's pit bull. A Facebook group was started to help coordinate search efforts. People began scouring the area and posting posters alerting people to the missing dog. A local law firm, Cherry & Irwin Trial Lawyers, put up a $1,000 reward. It was Benjamin Irwin, one of the lawyers who fronted the reward money, who eventually found Kai. Kai didn't come quietly however. It took Irwin and eight other volunteers chasing the pit down side streets and into yards before they cornered her and could grab Kai's collar.
"I just know if I were them I would want the last tangible thing of someone I loved," Irwin told Fox 5. He plans on donating the reward money to the shelter Kai was adopted from. Once Kai was found Whaley packed his family up and drove the to Bentonville, AK. Catron's family were amazed by the town's act of generosity. Kendra Mulherin, Catron's mother, told reporters that the dog's presence would help the family heal after this tragedy.
"For us, it was just a part of her. And we found it. And now we can kind of start healing," Mulherin told KHBS. Police are still investigating the cause of the crash. The passenger in the crash remains hospitalized.

First Read: Why Trump Can't Afford to Miss the 'Magic Number'

First Read is a morning briefing from Meet the Press and the NBC Political Unit on the day's most important political stories and why they matter.
Why Trump can't afford to miss that 1,237 magic number
As the Republican presidential race turns next to the April 5 primary in Wisconsin, the reality for Donald Trump is that, heading into the Cleveland convention, he can't afford to miss hitting the magic number of 1,237 -- the delegates needed to clinch a majority to win the nomination. Why? Because there's an active effort to stop him on a second ballot if anyone falls short of the number. "[John] Kasich and [Ted] Cruz are scrambling to secure commitments from bound delegates to break off on a second-ballot and vote against Trump. In many cases, that means asking delegates to buck Republican primary voters in the name of settling on a nominee," Politico writes. An unbound delegate from North Dakota, Curly Haugland, was even more candid with National Review, pointing out that Arizona -- which Trump won on Tuesday -- would probably see its delegates defect to Cruz after the first ballot. "Voters in the primaries are not representative of the people who are gonna' be sittin' in the chairs in Cleveland," he said. "The convention delegates from Arizona are going to be very conservative people, I guarantee ya'." Of course, Trump has threatened that "you'd have riots" if he was just 50 or 100 delegates short of the magic number yet still leading his nearest competition. But you now see why clearing that magic number is so important for Trump.
Where the GOP delegate race currently stands
Here are NBC's updated numbers after allocating additional delegates from the previous contests:
Republican Delegate Count
Trump needs to win 54% of remaining delegates to reach 1237 magic number.
Cruz needs to win 85% of remaining delegates to reach 1237 magic number.
Kasich needs to win 122% of remaining delegates to reach 1237 magic number.
The Unbound
We mentioned that North Dakota delegate above who's unbound -- due to the fact that his state isn't holding a presidential primary or caucus. And as it turns out, according to NBC's Decision Desk, there are more than 100 unbound delegates on the first ballot in Cleveland. They include 28 delegates from North Dakota, 37 delegates from Colorado (which also didn't hold a primary or caucus), 54 from Pennsylvania, and even nine from Guam.
Where the Democratic delegate race currently stands
As it turns out, Bernie Sanders had a much better Tuesday after we allocated additional delegates from Arizona, Idaho, and Utah. Sanders ended up netting 17 delegates over Clinton for the evening, 72-55 -- including 13 in Idaho (18-5) and 20 in Utah (26-6), while Clinton netted 16 from her Arizona win (44-28). So after those numbers, as well as additional delegates we've allocated from the previous contests, here is where the Dem delegate race stands:
In pledged delegates, Clinton holds a 298-delegate lead over Sanders
- Clinton 1217 (57%)
- Sanders 919 (43%)
In overall delegates, Clinton holds a 711-delegate lead over Sanders
- Clinton 1653 (64%)
- Sanders 942 (36%)
Clinton needs to win 34% of remaining delegates to hit 2383 magic number
Sanders needs to win 66% of remaining delegates to hit 2383 magic number
Look where Kasich is polling in Pennsylvania
While Kasich needs to win 122% of the remaining delegates (!!!) to hit the 1,237 number, look where he's polling in Pennsylvania (April 26), according to a new Franklin & Marshall poll:
- Trump 33%
- Kasich 30%
- Cruz 20%
As our colleague Dante Chinni quips, is it time for Mitt Romney to record a robocall for Kasich in the Keystone State? In the Democratic race in Pennsylvania, it's Clinton 53%, Sanders 28%.
Biden to give speech on SCOTUS battle
The other non-horserace political story we're watching today is Vice President Biden's 12:30 pm ET speech on the Supreme Court vacancy, which he'll deliver at the Georgetown University Law Center. He's expected to say, per excepts of his speech: "In my time as the ranking Democrat or as Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, I was responsible for eight nominees to the Supreme Court—some I supported, others I voted against. And in all that time every nominee was greeted by committee members. Every nominee got a committee hearing. Every nominee got out of the committee to the Senate floor. And every nominee, including Justice Kennedy—in an election year—got an up or down vote by the Senate. Not much of the time. Not most of the time. Every single time." The Republican National Committee is pre-butting Biden's speech by calling him out for "hypocrisy." Per the RNC: "Today, Vice President Joe Biden will give a speech calling on the Senate to take up Obama's election year Supreme Court nomination, despite creating an "election-year blockade" while serving as Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee in 1992."
On the trail
Bernie Sanders campaigns in Washington state…. Ted Cruz spends his day in Wisconsin… And Chelsea Clinton also stumps in Wisconsin.

Let CNN and the other major news outlets talk about something other than the "hair on fire" ridiculous statements from the donald.
Unfortunately donald trump is a product of the 24/7 news networks--he never stops providing headlines in what could otherwise be a somewhat boring policy conversation.
Seriously, I get it but in the long run the promotion of a very scary figure like donald trump in an effort to get ratings is a dangerous and horrible practise for our country.
And in the long run it is really not news.
