Geraldo Rivera Lays Out Bernie Kerik Lawyer Joe Tacopina

Right, and the headline reads:

And Keeps His Cool........

Well, Geraldo often says Bernard Kerik, former NYPD big man is his friend, in fact, he has him on his show each Monday for a very interesting take on police and New York City current events.

Well, this morning on Geraldo Radio, WABC New York, Geraldo just could not resist asking Joe Tac about his poor representation of Bernie during his recent big trial in NYC resulting in a sentence.

Obviously, Geraldo was offended by Joe's treatment of his friend--he was scheduled to talk about his client A-Rod.

Geraldo nailed him down fast and Joe Tac did the sidestep dance.

Joe Tacopina would not really answer the questions on Bernard Kerik--he did go on very well about A-Rod as touted.

Geraldo Rivera reminded Mr. Joe T. that he was influential in his career during the OJ Simpson period when Geraldo had his very successful CNBC show featuring the trial of OJ Simpson and very well-spoken attorneys from the area.

I well remember that show--It was one of the best OJ shows on television.

Good job, Geraldo and Noam for creating a heated--lively discussion without losing your cool.  It's a good story and it would be so fun to see this continuing saga.

Now we have Alan Dershowitz and Ann Coulter......regular Tuesday guests.

Will Alan discuss the legacy of Ariel Sharon......

Alan says Chris Christie is a classic case of willful blindness--"You mess with Christie and this is what you get."

Ann does not care for Christie as she feels he screwed up on amnesty but does not feel bridge-o-rama has anything to do with politics.

Alan Dershowitz--agree or disagree--is always an amazing guest.

Alan is sad about the whole thing because he liked Gov Christie--Christie and Bob Filner hurt my feelings too

Dershowitz said Christie's actions were reckless, thoughtless and stupid and it is completely inappropriate in the oval office.

Ann very shrilly stated it does not make sense to say it was politically motivated.  Geraldo very softly lays out Ann, too.  "In your view as long as your against undocumented illegal immigrants you're okay."

Alan says illegals have contributed to our society not to mention fleeing the holocaust.

Thank you, Alan, for your insightful statements.

Good show, Geraldo

Angry granny or big politicians--everyone is chatting with Geraldo

Watching Geraldo Rivera on the Radio--The Callers Love Geraldo

The people love Geraldo........

Listening to the radio all day....most of the day or watching the news.

Right, one must have distraction to do the dishes.

Never heard anything like it....is this just Geraldo or is it New York?

San Diego girl forever--we do not have this on our talk radio in SD.

The callers tell Geraldo what is on their mind....with gusto.

They have an enthusiasm....well, it is not on any other channel or radio station.

Geraldo can take it..........

Somehow, Geraldo can let the people get it off their chest....they're happy, he's happy and that's it!

There is no anger or resentment carried over.  Geraldo is not a mad man.....I guess he can take a disagreement without feeling personally offended.

Everyone talks to Geraldo.......

Some are very frustrated about the bridge--not hearing that degree of annoyance from the actual citizens who drive the thing every day on other outlets.  Geraldo says he spends 26 dollars a day just to cross it twice.  Our Coronado Bridge is free.  It must be very expensive to live in New York.

It was Howard Kurtz.....he said he really likes Fox and CNN, but Fox is smaller and he gets to do what he wants.

We got to hear the take of Alan Dershowitz on bridge-o-rama--another shoe may drop.

Ari Fleischer gave his input on the Robert Gates revs--no, he would not have talked.

Haley Barbour in full support of Chris Christie......

And the streaming was perfect on my chromebook--the streaming has improved every day.

Angry granny or big politicians--everyone is chatting with Geraldo.

So just click on Geraldo at the top of the page and then video streaming.......WABC New York

chromebook--just put in W and the whole thing comes up---if you go there everyday.

Wemple Talks O'Reilly........

copied from the Washington Post........

Fox News’s Bill O’Reilly clobbered by Carl Bernstein in faceoff on GOP

Bill O’Reilly (Frank Micelotta/Invsion/Associated Press)
A word of advice to anyone who ever gets invited onto “The O’Reilly Factor” to serve as chum for the show’s name partner. It shows Carl Bernstein, of Washington Post-Watergate fame, demonstrating precisely how to disarm the domineering Bill O’Reilly. As the segment makes clear, Bernstein’s invitation to “The Factor” stemmed from edgy comments he made on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” In hammering the GOP for its tactics on the government shutdown, Bernstein said that the party had “become a rabid organization from the top down. The leadership, it’s cancerous. We have to go back to the party — to the Democratic Party of segregation to find this kind of scorched-earth politics putting the national interests nowhere and putting ideology and ideology above all else.”
Just the sort of stuff that interests the staff of “The Factor.”
O’Reilly ran the “Morning Joe” clip and then told Bernstein he thought those remarks were “unfair.” “I think that was a little bit unfair because the Republican Party is so all over the place on this. There isn’t a consensus in it. I thought you demonized the party unfairly there,” said O’Reilly.
Then the host thus began his prosecution — and Bernstein refused to allow it to proceed. See, O’Reilly’s trick in these clashes is to insist that the debate follow his own agenda, his own touchstones. So he interrupts his opponent and makes them address issues that he stipulates, regardless of whether those issues bear on the larger points. Here’s how Bernstein beat back O’Reilly’s initial effort to steer things his way:
BERNSTEIN: Well, let’s go back to what I said about ideology, which is exactly the same thing you said at the top of the show almost word for word — about ideology becoming secondary to facts and to the national interests. I could have quoted Bill O’Reilly.
I used the example of segregation and the horrible example of the Democratic Party and the appeasement by others in the Democratic Party in the early 50s of the segregationists, the same way the leadership of the Republican Party has appeased this know-nothing fashion that has brought on this –
O’REILLY: All right. But — I think we get your point.
BERNSTEIN: Let me finish, Bill. No, no let me finish. I’m talking about the leadership, meaning Eric Cantor, Boehner who went along with this craziness for a while, McConnell who didn’t say to his party “Stop this. This is hurting the country.” That is rabid leadership. This is what McCarthyism was also about.
Bernstein wasn’t going to get bullied. Resisting O’Reilly’s first attempt to hijack the discussion is critical, because once he has a toehold — once he is pushing his points — it’s impossible to rewind the whole enterprise and recover. The host is just too insistent. Here, Bernstein continues protesting, demanding at one point, “let’s stop here.” Those ploys allow him to battle O’Reilly on somewhat equal turf. The glory of it all is that the segment is pleasant, enlightening and worthy of “The O’Reilly Factor’s” stratospheric ratings. No finger-jabbing whatsoever.

Alan Dershowitz vs. Gilad Atzmon

Alan Dershowitz vs. Gilad Atzmon

Alan DershowitzA Talmudic DeliberationEthnic cleansing advocate Alan Dershowitz is campaigning today for the release of arch spy Jonathan Pollard. In a commentary published on the repulsive Jewish media outlet The Algemeiner, Dershowitz argues “the time has come…for the United States to do the right thing with regard to Jonathan Pollard.”
Dershowitz’ argument is amusing as usual. “Pollard poses no continuing danger to America, since he has not had access to our secrets for nearly 30 years.”
Dershowitz, a Harvard law professor, should know that people occasionally remain locked behind bars for the crime they committed in the past rather than the crime they may not commit in the future.
For some peculiar reason Dershowitz also equates between Pollard and the Palestinian freedom fighters (whom he calls ‘murderers’), due to be released by Israel. “Unlike the Palestinian prisoners who are to be released, he (Pollard) has expressed regret over his actions and has sought forgiveness.”
Dershowitz obviously fails to realise that freedom fighters and political prisoners don’t tend to ask for forgiveness. Their action is the outcome of a legitimate struggle against oppression. However, Pollard, who was involved in an act of treason, falls into a different category altogether. Dershowitz and Pollard should accept that the act of asking for forgiveness doesn’t necessarily lead to a pardon.
Dershowitz believes that the USA should release Pollard in an attempt to persuade the Israelis to ‘vote for peace.’ “The Israeli public will have to vote for any deal struck between Israeli and Palestinian negotiators,” contends the ‘best Jewish Lawyer in the world.’
The Talmudic reasoning is quick to follow - “the outcome of such (Israeli) referendum will depend on whether Israeli voters believe that their security has been assured and that the United States continues to stand behind them.” So here we are, America should let off an arch Israeli spy so the Israelis can vote for peace.
I think that Dershowitz’ Talmudic orientation is indeed very impressive. However, being myself a product of Talmudic upbringing, I would actually go along with Dershowitz’ suggestion.
I would propose that the USA releases Pollard immediately under a strict provision – If the Jewish State votes peace as Dershowitz promises, Pollard would remain free. But if the Israelis fail to provide, if they vote against peace (as they usually do), then Pollard would be locked behind bars again as stipulated by his life sentence.
Such a condition would make the Israeli spy into a negotiation bargain for peace. If the Israeli people really want Jonathan free, as Dershowitz insists, they would have to choose peace for the first time.
I would love to know how Dershowitz can rescue his troubled case now.
