On “Hannity” Thursday night, Geraldo Rivera confronted both host Sean Hannity and fellow guest Ann Coulter on the subject of immigration, so it shouldn’t surprise anyone that the conversation was quickly whipped into a maelstrom of bellowing cross-talk by all parties involved.

Coulter began by thanking Rivera for granting that there could be 30 million undocumented immigrants in the United States, even though he only did that for the sake of argument. “The true about immigration is always the same,” she said, “the lies are always different.”

“We are talking about a group of people who have no right to be here,” she said, adding “whether legal or illegal.” She didn’t clarify as to why legal immigrants have no right to be in America legally, but that’s neither here nor there, because Coulter’s more concerned with the fate of “native” Hispanics and African-Americans on government assistance. “Why are we bringing in people that we have to help?” she asked. “That’s meant for our poor people, and that includes Hispanic poor people, and black poor people. We have to care about our own.”

“Is the filibuster over?” Rivera asked. “Let me respond!” And respond he did, noting that rates of violent crimes in the two cities with the highest population of undocumented immigrants — New York and Los Angeles — are at historic lows.

“That means nothing!” Coulter interjected. “That’s not because of immigration!”

“If undocumented immigrants were more prone to commit crimes,” Rivera continued, “why would these cities be experiencing such relative freedom from violent crime. Compare that to Baltimore, Cleveland, Detroit, and other post-industrial cities, where there is a spike in terrible crime, where you should be concerned with violence, instead of singling out this population and ginning up this false fear.”

“Look, you’re talking about a correlation, not a causation. You’re not that stupid, Geraldo!” Coulter replied. “Crime goes down for a lot of reasons. We want immigrants to have crime rates lower than [those] of our most criminal population. You have got to stop talking about this as if we’re talking about Americans attacking Hispanics. No, we are talking about immigrants.”

“When you write a book that says ‘Adios America,’ you are ipso facto attacking Hispanics,” Rivera shot back. “Do you really believe the left is conspiring to make this a third-world hellhole? That it’s a conspiracy?”

“They’re winning elections now!” Coulter replied. “Obama wouldn’t have won elections but for for the post-1970’s immigration, which of course is Hispanic!”

“I remember when they said the same thing — the same thing! — about the Irish in the 19th Century,” Rivera responded.

“They were right!” Coulter shouted back. “Not only were they right, we were allowed to criticize the Irish!”

Polemicist Ann Coulter, once a recognized icon of the conservative movement, and later, a gay icon, has puzzled many people in recent years. Eager to be seen as conservatism’s darling, a firebrand and flamethrower – indeed, a zealot in all things conservative – Coulter has been anything but conservative.

Though giving lip service to the pro-life movement, Coulter fails to seek or support pro-life candidates. Espousing family values, she became a national spokesman for gay conservatives. Claiming to be a Reagan conservative, Coulter claims Romney was a better candidate that Reagan. Now, Coulter is again attacking the Tea Party. Coulter wouldn’t know a RINO if she looked in the mirror.

If Coulter is such a firebrand conservative zealot, why does she fall in love with so many RINOs?

Perhaps the answer to Coulter’s conflicting views and behaviors lies within Coulter. Perhaps Coulter neither knows what she really believes nor believes what she thinks she knows.

For almost two decades, Coulter has lied, twisted the truth, defended her hypocrisy, refused to repent, and continually pushed the political and rhetorical edge. Without boundaries, and having forsaken the north star of truth, Coulter has simply gone over the edge.

If Coulter doesn’t know what to believe, and if she doesn’t believe what she claims to believe, why should be believe anything she says? We should Never Trust Ann Coulter – at ANY Age.

As House Republicans prepare to sell out the country on immigration this week, Phyllis Schlafly has produced a stunning report on how immigration is changing the country. The report is still embargoed, but someone slipped me a copy, and it's too important to wait. 

Leave aside the harm cheap labor being dumped on the country does to the millions of unemployed Americans. What does it mean for the Republican Party? 

Citing surveys from the Pew Research Center, the Pew Hispanic Center, Gallup, NBC News, Harris polling, the Annenberg Policy Center, Latino Decisions, the Center for Immigration Studies and the Hudson Institute, Schlafly's report overwhelmingly demonstrates that merely continuing our current immigration policies spells doom for the Republican Party. 

Immigrants -- all immigrants -- have always been the bulwark of the Democratic Party. For one thing, recent arrivals tend to be poor and in need of government assistance. Also, they're coming from societies that are far more left-wing than our own. History shows that, rather than fleeing those policies, they bring their cultures with them. (Look at what New Yorkers did to Vermont.) 

This is not a secret. For at least a century, there's never been a period when a majority of immigrants weren't Democrats. 

At the current accelerated rate of immigration -- 1.1 million new immigrants every year -- Republicans will be a fringe party in about a decade. 

Thanks to endless polling, we have a pretty good idea of what most immigrants believe. 

According to a Harris poll, 81 percent of native-born citizens think the schools should teach students to be proud of being American. Only 50 percent of naturalized U.S. citizens do. 

While 67 percent of native-born Americans believe our Constitution is a higher legal authority than international law, only 37 percent of naturalized citizens agree. 

No wonder they vote 2-1 for the Democrats.

In her New Year’s Eve essay (her eighth almost identical Kwanzaa essay in 14^th years), Coulter argued that the Bible should be taken seriously and not misinterpreted for political purposes. She added this aside: “(I promise you, except for venereal disease and eternal damnation, life would be a lot more fun if we were making it up as we went along.)”

Some have misread Coulter’s parenthetical remark as an expression of what befalls those who reject and disobey God’s Word. Yes, Coulter commends God’s Word yet, at the very same time, seems to commend doing your own thing (“making it up as we [go] along.”) Are “venereal disease and eternal damnation” the only consequences to sin? Is life all about seeking “a lot more fun?” Amazingly, Coulter made a “promise” about life being more fun doing things your own way. (Yet another failed Coulter promise.)

All actions have consequences – according to Newton and according to God. Coulter might think “life would be a lot more fun” doing it her way instead of God’s, revealing her ignorance of God’s greatness and His grace: our Father in heaven really does know better what is best for us. Jesus came to give us life, and to give it to us abundantly.

The apostle Paul exhorts Christians to “Rejoice! And, again I say, rejoice!” We, as Christians, are called to experience a bit of heaven on earth in living in a close relationship with our Creator. When we are walking with God, we experience His unsurpassing peace, His inexpressible joy, and His unfailing love. Those experiences are to be prized! The world has nothing better to offer.

What passes for “fun” in this world badly misses the mark and deprives people of the joy which can be experienced in following Jesus and doing what He would do.

As noted in Vanity: Ann Coulter’s Quest for Glory, Coulter has a problem subjecting her will to God’s. She would rather do what is right in her own eyes than in God’s. Ironically, Coulter concluded her “Breaking Bad” essay (in which she called that TV series “a Christian parable”) with Scripture: “There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.”

Well, Geraldo often says Bernard Kerik, former NYPD big man is his friend, in fact, he has him on his show each Monday for a very interesting take on police and New York City current events.

Well, this morning on Geraldo Radio, WABC New York, Geraldo just could not resist asking Joe Tac about his poor representation of Bernie during his recent big trial in NYC resulting in a sentence.

Obviously, Geraldo was offended by Joe's treatment of his friend--he was scheduled to talk about his client A-Rod.

Geraldo nailed him down fast and Joe Tac did the sidestep dance.

Joe Tacopina would not really answer the questions on Bernard Kerik--he did go on very well about A-Rod as touted.

Geraldo Rivera reminded Mr. Joe T. that he was influential in his career during the OJ Simpson period when Geraldo had his very successful CNBC show featuring the trial of OJ Simpson and very well-spoken attorneys from the area.

I well remember that show--It was one of the best OJ shows on television.

Good job, Geraldo and Noam for creating a heated--lively discussion without losing your cool.  It's a good story and it would be so fun to see this continuing saga.

Now we have Alan Dershowitz and Ann Coulter......regular Tuesday guests.

Will Alan discuss the legacy of Ariel Sharon......

Alan says Chris Christie is a classic case of willful blindness--"You mess with Christie and this is what you get."

Ann does not care for Christie as she feels he screwed up on amnesty but does not feel bridge-o-rama has anything to do with politics.

Alan Dershowitz--agree or disagree--is always an amazing guest.

Alan is sad about the whole thing because he liked Gov Christie--Christie and Bob Filner hurt my feelings too

Dershowitz said Christie's actions were reckless, thoughtless and stupid and it is completely inappropriate in the oval office.

Ann very shrilly stated it does not make sense to say it was politically motivated.  Geraldo very softly lays out Ann, too.  "In your view as long as your against undocumented illegal immigrants you're okay."

Alan says illegals have contributed to our society not to mention fleeing the holocaust.
