I'm Trying To Help President Obama: I'd Rather Have Cameras Than Guns

I'm Trying To Help President Obama:  I'd Rather Have Cameras Than Guns

Have you ever noticed the really cool thing about President Obama?

He has the ability to talk directly to the people...I always feel like he is talking right to me.  I feel like he actually cares about all of the people; people like me.

I want to try and help President Obama and all of the citizens of the United States.

The cool thing about the United States is that we can say what we think...I just love that.

Recently, on a wonderful vacation in London I noticed I did not hear about one thing involving guns.  I heard about fighting at bars and I heard more than once about drink driving but not once did I ever hear about any shootings.

I listened to the news often while I was in my hotel room.  I listened to news from channels around the world.

Here in San Diego I have the radio on in the morning.  Almost every morning when I wake up I hear about a shooting; often they are right near the area where I live in South Park.

The shootings often involve young people and sometimes even teenagers.

Some people here say they do not want cameras.  In London there are plenty of cameras but not shootings.  It is said an individual can be followed on camera throughout the entire city of London.

London is a beautiful, giant, modern, world leading and at the same time historical city.  It is just about my favorite vaction place.

If they do not have guns why do we have to have guns?  It obviously isn't necessary to have a great city.

Let's rethink this and move forward............President Obama was very inspirational in his speech today about Congress not passing an amendment for further background checks on guns.  I like the London model....few children are injured there in gun violence......can we just work in that direction here in the US?

The Real Joan Rivers with Howard Stern--Joan is My Johnny Now

I love this interview with Joan.  I never was a giant Howard Stern fan but now I am reconsidering everything because who knew he had  a Maine Coon!!!

Joan is my Johnny, now.

Right, I was so in love with Johnny Carson for sooooooo many years; you know how it is when you're a lonely little kid......I really felt like some of these television people were part of my family....or something like that.

Always one to stay up late, when Johnny showed his yearly best of....I'd already seen them all.

This is so stupid....first I wanted to write a letter to Johnny to see if he could be, whatever, something like my dad....then later I wanted to marry Johnny.......then after that he married someone younger than me.

Oh, well, Joan is my Johnny now--in the first place to say she had aged well is an understatement--she is my idol on that, alone.

She is more beautiful now than when she used to fill in for Johnny.....and she is quite a bit older.  Everyone knows she has had plastic, but the shape of her face.......we have to give her credit for timing--knowing what to do when and staying power, not to mention her brillance as a comedy writer.

I saw her in one show where she explains how hard she works on her jokes and how carefully she files them for easy access, as needed.

Good job, Joan--that's all I can say but it is not enough.......

here's the link to the real good interview with Joan and Howard--her comments about Johnny--unbelievable.....

http://youtu.be/Rguf3wfTcB0

the individual at the top of the page:  that is a picture of my chlo-louise (aka connie sachs)...I think she is about 20.....she is a Maine Coon.....she is also a cat....Howard, do you have a picture of your Maine, Coon, too?

Chloelouise's London Update:  If They Do Not Need Guns In London Why Do We Need Them Here?

I just spent a week in London and listened to the news constantly.  I did not hear about one single shooting--they did report on bar fighting and drink driving, but nothing involving guns.

Listening to the radio news here in San Diego there is a fatal shooting reported almost every morning.

I just don't get this gun thing--why do we need guns here if they do not need them in London?

I guess we should ask Laura Ingraham.

Honestly, Is Bill O'Reilly Insane or a Comedian?  He's a joke, a parody, the real Ted Baxter of the airwaves--does he really expect anyone to take himself seriously?

Right, he's the kind of guy you really don't want in your house--you really don't want to be alone with him and get in an argument.  The fear is his explosion when he loses the argument.

His personality is way to explosive if he can't make his point--if you're a lady and heaven for bid, your argument base and facts beats his idea--he's lost--he's out.

He loses it.  When he explodes like that on television what do you think he does in his own house--when he is alone with someone, a dangerous sit.  Particularly if he considers you to be a lesser person than him, a woman, but, nevertheless, you don't back down in the argument, you keep your calm and successfully make the point.  Your fact is more profound, stronger.

Mad man Bill O'Reilly--he needs to get a grip and some self control.

Get a grip, Bill......

here is a page with Bill O'Reilly "going O'Reilly" on Laura Ingraham:

Will Bill try to pull this stunt on Mary Matalin.......does he know better?

San Diego Radio KOGO 600's Town-Clown chip franklin Short-Leashed by LaDona Harvey

http://www.wikihow.com/images/6/6a/SSA42117.JPG

KOGO 600's Town Clown chip franklin Short-Leashed by LaDona Harvey
Right, it took the big beautiful wild horse of a lady, LaDona Harvey to stomp-out the bald-headed bad boy of San Diego talk radio, chip franklin.
It's about time--he was way out of control--I imagine it was almost time for him to go off the air after his producer Don Ayres was removed and news ladies were added to neutralize the acid tongue of shock-jock, chip.
chip was all over those girls verbally with a certain exuberance that was cringing to hear at that hour of the morning.

Is there anyone who can control chip?.........

This morning chip and LaDona were conducting a serious go-round, the verbal brawl was impending--LaDona was winning and the caller confirmed it, "You've lost this one, chip!"

LaDona will not back down.  chip does not ever want to give up or be beat in an discussion--if the argument loss is imminent he goes "O'Reilly."

I don't want to hurt chip's feelings, as if that were possible, but I have only written one post about LaDona Harvery and people are searching my blog daily for more info--where is she..... is chip  on his way out....why did she go to mornings....every day....it's taking up the whole page.
The search race has been won by LaDona, Mayor Bob Filner coming in with a close second and chip franklin last...unless he acts-up, then his searches top the list.
LaDona and chip are very talented and strong personalities but chip's war on women and violent outbursts were very hard listening at the 5 AM hour.
Do I agree with Ladona, often not, but like the lady she loves to wrangle, Gloria Allred, she does not mind standing up for her beliefs.
I think she is almost too harsh in some of her philosophies about women (apparently, she always likes to read the fine print before she dives into anything--not all ladies have that opportunity, LaDona) but, nevertheless, her talent and strength and self-belief prevail.

Good job, Ladona.

Class - Shirts: Patterns to Production

Fine Shirts:  From Patterns to Production with Steve Pauling
Class Dates:  August 2, 3 & 4 at The Ribbonerie in San Francisco, Friday afternoon, 1-4 PM; Sat., 9:30-5 PM; Sun. 10-4:30 PM.

Shirts, for both men and women, may be the most commonly worn garment in the world. A well-detailed and skillfully fitted fine dress shirt may be critical to the all-important first impression. Even a custom-fitted casual shirt is a very visible garment, which through the comfort of its fit and the finesse of its finish, gives the wearer ease and confidence. Designing and constructing a shirt which compliments its wearer is a long honored craft involving very specialized pattern design, meticulous fabric-handling and skillful mechanical techniques.

Steve Pauling brings his background in architecture, furniture design and construction into the fashion world. Over the course of decades, his widely varied design experience and his analytical mindset have come together in the fit and construction of the perfect shirt. This is his first appearance on the national scene.

This 2.5-day workshop begins with an overview of contemporary shirt designs for all body types and occasions for men and women.  In the Pattern segment of the class, students will learn half-scale draping of a shirt front and back for the perfect individual fit and how to transform the draped design into a flat pattern. Different sleeve and cuff designs will be reviewed for style and comfort before students draft a sleeve from their draped bodice.

In the Production segment of the workshop, students will learn special techniques for constructing beautiful, precise and professional looking details found on the ‘bespoke’ level. Some of the techniques demonstrated will include the three-roll collar for a beautiful and stable appearance; the precise join between cuff and sleeve without excess bulk; the professional looking encased armscye for comfort and style; bagging the yoke and several techniques for flat felled seams.

Following a series of demonstrations, students will construct many of the special techniques, creating a book of samples for subsequent use. A pattern kit for samples will be provided. While all levels of experience are welcome, participants should have a general knowledge of garment sewing skills.

PLEASE NOTE: The maximum class enrollment is 18 students. We must have 12 enrolled by 5PM on Monday, July 1, one month prior to the class. Without a minimum enrollment, regretfully, the class will need to be cancelled and the registration fees will be refunded. We recommend that airline tickets be purchased after the minimum enrollment deadline in case of cancellation. Hotel reservations can be made since the cancellation window is usually 24-48 hours prior. Approximately 3 weeks before the class, all registrants for the class will receive a welcome email confirming registration, any updated information and information about reserving a spot for dinner Saturday evening at the Magic Flute -- famous for their desserts!

Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity's secret phone call as they praise rush limbaugh and make plans to join his 12 step program for ROWGS.

The liberal limbawdian fantasy continues...........by chloe louise

Well, apparently the mobile was hacked and the contents of the phone call were leaked to the media by an unidentified source:

"Sean," Bill confided, "What do you think we should do, we are losing numbers in that blasted rating system and rush is all over the place after he rode in that darn Rose Parade with Nancy Pelosi."

"The whole thing was so stupid and rush ate it right up, they should have had me in the parade with my banner Taking Back America on each side of the car.  Rush is just a sell-out now." sean cried.

"I know hannity, but its working for him--that's the spin, that's the zone its spinning in."

It has previously been leaked in a different call that o'reilly really wanted to ride in the parade with no spin zone pasted on each side of the car

"Well, Sean, what should we do, should we join him, I don't think for a second he buys into that garbage, being nice to women and all that, the thing is the public is buying into that stuff---it's the trend right now, it will change next week," Bill whined.

"But do you think we should act like we are in on it or what--we're losing all our numbers and rush is getting everything," Sean agreed.

"I'm mad because everyone knows rush doesn't even like parades--I've always been a parade person."

"Well, I have, too.  If we joined up we could ride in the parade, too."

"Sean, I am not riding in a second car......my car is equal to rush or I'm not doing it.  I'm not being in a second car or in the back seat to rush."

"Bill, I want a better car than rush, and equal lanes--side by side exactly--I'm not riding one inch behind!"

It's said by anon. sources that they will be making the announcement to join the program soon.  It will be a formal statement by their publicity group and it willl focus on their goal to turn around the republican party and focus on women--there will be no mention made of ratings or rush's new-found popularity, what so ever. A bid will be put in for them to appear on The View or Oprah--they'll make it heart-felt.

Bill will tank up on tranquillizers before Oprah or Barbara  grill him.....just to prevent spiraling into a Laura Ingraham type incident.

And the world was a better place.

Italian Gardens Hyde Park London United Kingdom--Four Fountains

Visiting London, walking in Hyde Park--I could spend all day taking pictures.  Something about the Italian Gardens, the four fountains all together, the park in the background and the birds walking on the little ramps--it has a certain design balance--to me it is very captivating--it is easy to sit there all day.

Ronnie Wood Talks About Stones Tour With Mick Taylor and Returning to his Radio Show on Absolute Classic Rock Today 4-6-2013

Ronnie Wood Talks About Stones Tour, Mick Taylor, his radio show and twitter account on Absolute Classic Rock Today 4-6-2013

He confirmed that the Stones tour, including Hyde Park, this July, will include Mick Taylor and he will be playing even more songs than he did in December.  He would love to resume his rdio show again as soon as he has time and he has extablished a twitter account, from the suggestion of his wife, to let everyone know about his art work, upcomming events showcasing his talents in painting, touring with the Stones and his activities with other groups, as well.
It was so fun to hear Ronnie Wood on the radio again today.  I listen to him on the Absolute Classic Rock Station from the UK.
Previously, he had been on every Sat at 2 PM Pacific but recently he said he has just been so busy with his new marriage and getting ready for the Stones tour this summer and in recent past months there just has been no time.
He said he loves doing the radio show, it is fun and interesting but right now he has to many other things to concentrate on and he will be glad to resume his radio show once again after things calm down.

He is enjoying his new marriage and he has recently returned from spending time in Barcelona.
Personally, I do not blame anyone for leaving London, after just returning from a very fun, but chilly vacation there.  London is my favorite city to visit.  I love just being there--I have fun just looking at everything but this time it was so cold I could not even enjoy photographing my favorite fountains.  That would be The Italian Gardens in Hyde Park.
Ronnie also talked about the Rolling Stones playing in Hyde Park this July.  The best news ever--he confirmed that Mick Taylor will be joining the Stones again and playing on even more songs now and of course the DJ mentioned Midnight Rambler.
Everyone I know who follows the Rolling Stones says Mick Taylor is the best and they cannot wait to see him again.  They say that Mick Taylor is a lovely person and that when he was in the group they were at their musical highpoint.
Of course Ronnie Wood was very gracious as always when he talked about Mick Taylor and other members of the group, as well.
Ronnie, I will miss your radio shows every Saturday but I can't wait to see your on tour.
There are many ways to listen to Absolute Classic Rock--I google it, go to the website and then listen live--that works for me but their are several other ways to listen, too.
I will be going back to their website for interviews with Mick Jagger and David Bowie.
It's fun to listen to a radio station from another country.  I feel so international.
David Bowie is extremely popular and very loved in London.  He currently has an exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum.  The people were literally lined up out the door to see the show.  It includes renting a headset and following the recording, listening to music and learning about his famous costumes.  The price was 14 pounds and I still had to make an appointment to see it later in the day so I am sorry to say I missed it as we already had tickets to a show.

here is a link to the website:

the museum is really worth seeing--the cafe is excellent and it is very easily accessible on the tube--and best of all it is free.....

here is a picture of Ronnie...we always listen to Ronnie every Sat...Ronnie listening to Ronnie.....he is wearing his sunglasses to look more like a rock star....really, he's just as cute as a button, just like Mick in his younger days.......
