The National Cemetery Administration and Les' Melnyck: I am the daughter...
Trying to get the National Cemetery Administration to recognize me as my mother's daughter.
As long as I do not exist they have done everything perfectly.
When they buried her without letting me know it was a terrible, painful and humiliating situation....and definitely not compassionate towards the family member.
Compassionate and courteous treatment to the family members are one of their hallmarks, they claim, but they were never compassionate towards me. Infact, they tried to discredit me once I started asking them questions.
Once I realized they had lied to me they basically quit speaking. Les' Melnyck, Public Outreach Officer, stated we cannot just let any random person know what we are doing.
But, Les', I am not a random person, I am the daughter. and named as the NOK in the will and trust.
Les' Melnyck stated in an e-mail that I had ignored my mother during COVID--not ture. They have stated lies about me but when I try to tell them the truth they will not talk.
How do I get the truth in the file.
They love their false narrative.
Is it proper for the NCA officials to try and assassinate the character of the family member--is that the philosophy of the NCA?
Did they not think I would be sad to find out my mother had been buried, had all of the military honors, and no one could be bothered to invite me to the service.
My mother never would have wanted me to be excluded--I am her only child--I took care of her--I arranged her placement in the VA home in Chula Vista.
They want to go on about how grand they are but in this instance their actions were very hurtful--is that the way they treat the family of the Veterans?
