Hawaiian Ham N Cheese Sliders
Here's what you'll need.... 1-2 packages of Hawaiian sweet rolls 1 onion, minced 1 stick of butter 3 Tbs of Dijon Mustard 2-3 teaspoons of Worcestershire Sauce 3 teaspoons of poppy seeds 1 1/2 pounds of shaved deli ham- or more depends how thick you want them 8-10 slices of Swiss cheese or American In a sauce pan melt your butter. Add onion and cook until soft. Then add in your mustard, Worcestershire, and poppy seeds. Simmer for 5 mins Slice your rolls right down the middle. Place them in a pan with foi.lplace 2/3 of mixture on bottom of rolls..Add your ham and then your cheese.Top with the other side of the rolls and add the rest of the mixture on top.Bake for 20 mins on 350! Cut where the lines are in the Hawaiian rolls and you know have perfectly melted sliders. Enjoy! I copied this recipe from facebook.......

Tout ne peut pas s'empêcher de demander .... que dire de Prime Suspect avec Helen Mirren? Je pense vraiment que c'est la meilleure émission de télévision que j'ai jamais vu, mais je ne suis pas non plus un expert Sopranos et je sais que tout le monde aime celui-là, aussi.
J'aime vraiment Strombo et je pense qu'il est un grand journaliste et CNN a de la chance de l'avoir. La plupart radio et la télévision intervieweurs jamais vraiment arriver à ce niveau d'avoir fait une longue conversation d'information avec un client sans que ni parler tout le temps eux-mêmes ou insultant l'invité ou en quelque sorte ce qui les rend mal à l'aise.
Le spectacle devient alors sur l'hôte. George let Henry Winkler et Larry King et Aisha Tyler disent information qui peut être utile et source d'inspiration pour le téléspectateur moyen - qui est vraiment assez haut dans le monde du spectacle de conversation.
Je dirais qu'il est dans la catégorie de Larry King et Johnny Carson.
Bon travail de George et j'espère que CNN vient à leur bon sens et lui continue à.

O’Reilly Smacks Down Obama’s Race Speech: President Has ‘No Clue’ How To Combat ‘Gangsta Culture’
Bill O’Reilly opened his show Monday night by examining President Obama‘s Friday afternoon speech on race and the Trayvon Martin case. O’Reilly began by saying Obama was “correct in addressing the race issue” but then proceeded to hammer the president for failing to address the “real” problems facing the African-American community.
“The sad truth is that from the president on down, our leadership has no clue, no clue at all about how to solve problems within the black community,” O’Reilly said. “And many are frightened to even broach the issue. That’s because race hustlers and the grievance industry have intimidated the so-called ‘conversation,’ turning any valid criticism of African-American culture into charges of racial bias.” He said it’s these attitudes that have forced African-Americans to “fend for themselves in violent neighborhoods.”
Coming back to Trayvon Martin specifically, O’Reilly said there is only evidence that George Zimmerman “profiled” the 17-year-old because he was “dressed in clothing sometimes used by street criminals”–not his skin color. “It was wrong for Zimmerman to confront Martin based on his appearance,” he said. “But the culture that we have in this country does lead to criminal profiling because young black American men are so often involved in crime.”
This led O’Reilly to pinpoint the primary cause of these statistics: “The disintegration of the African-American family.” More than anything else, he chalked up black crime to the fact that “73% of all black babies are born out of wedlock,” a problem that he said Obama and other civil rights leaders refuse to address. He also pointed fingers at the entertainment industry, and particularly “gangsta culture,” for “encouraging irresponsibility” and “glorifying bad behavior.”
O’Reilly outright rejected the notion, put forward by “race hustlers and limousine liberals” that “unfair” incarceration rates for “non-violent” drug offenses contribute to the problem, calling out Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and Obama for refusing to condemn drug dealers. Getting more and more heated as he progressed, O’Reilly argued that blacks’ disadvantages “has nothing to do with slavery. It has everything to do with you Hollywood people and you derelict parents.”
In conclusion, O’Reilly said, “it’s now time for the African-American leadership, including President Obama, to stop the nonsense. Walk away from the world of victimization and grievance and lead the way out of this mess.”

Bill constantly says he is telling the truth but here is a blatant example of how he tried to spin it and was incorrect. I wish I could speak as well as Geraldo did the other evening on the show but here is my attempt anyway. I have written quite a few times about Bill on my blog--the ronnie republic. Sometimes I think the whole thing of Bill O'Reilly is just a cover for racism. I mean, why is he constantly trying to tell people of African-American descent how to act--as if he knows the answer if people would only listen to him.
Seriously, what are his credentials--for instance compared to President Obama and Eric Holder. Not just that these two are African-American and have lived the facts but are they not also learned individuals with education in this particular area. Wouldn't they be more prepared to talk on the issue than Bill?
Just can't resist asking....what about Prime Suspect with Helen Mirren? I really think that is the best television show I have ever seen, but I also am not a Sopranos expert and I know everyone loves that one, too.
I really like Strombo and I think he is a great interviewer and CNN is lucky to have him. Most radio and television interviewers really never get to that level of actually having a lengthy informational chat with a guest without either talking the whole time themselves or insulting the guest or somehow making them uncomfortable. The show then becomes about the host. George let Henry Winkler and Larry King and Aisha Tyler say information that can be useful and inspirational to the average viewer--that is really pretty high up in the talk show world.
I would say he is in the category of Larry King and Johnny Carson.
Good job to George and I hope CNN comes to their senses and keeps him on.

How America Got It Right and Bill O'Reilly Got It Wrong......
Well, Geraldo Rivera eloquently went up against Bill the other evening this week and nicely laid him out when Bill tried to claim that rallies across the nation affiliated with the Reverend Al Sharpton were actually fizzling out and just how tired he was of hearing about the Reverend in regards to the death of Trayvon Martin.
Who is this guy Al Sharpton, anyway--Bill's lesson in marginalizing someone and their cause.
Then Bill recently went on CBS to tell how he, in fact, was the only one watching out for the average citizen, he was the "watchdog" for the regular working guy.
Bill--Meet Reverend Al Sharpton. Your spin--in your "no spin zone"--was, in fact, incorrect. Yes, Bill, you tried to spin it and you were wrong. Take a look at USA Today and listen to CNN. There were many, many people in all cities all across he country that came out in favor of Trayvon Martin and Al Sharpton.
Oh, right Bill, there was one other person, too. That would be our very well spoken president, Barack Obama. Yes, that's what we all got right in America--electing Barack Obama to the presidency.
We not only have someone to speak about healthcare for all of the citizens, to stand up against Rush Limbaugh against bashing women and their healthcare rights, but now we actually have a President of color who can have a very personal and needed discussion on race and what it means in the United States.
That's right Bill--we got it right and you, in your no spin zone--got it wrong.
Will, Bill be man or woman enough to admit it and maybe even apologize to Al Sharpton?
Will Bill even admit that he made and error. If he did it would cut to his platform and he may have to think about it and discuss the issues of the civil rights of many groups in America in a meaningful way.
And he might have to come to terms with the biggest fact of all. Bill--open your eyes--who is the average working guy in America. How was President Obama elected? America is a beautiful coat of many colors, that is our history.
Thousands gathered Saturday at rallies in more than 100 cities nationwide to remember Trayvon Martin, to press for federal civil rights charges against the man who shot him, and to attack stand-your-ground self-defense laws.
George Zimmerman's acquittal a week ago on all charges in the shooting death of the unarmed black teen touched off protests across the nation. The Justice Department is investigating whether Zimmerman violated Martin's civil rights when he shot the 17-year-old during a February 2012 confrontation in Sanford, Fla.
In New York, the Rev. Al Sharpton took aim at stand-your-ground laws in more than a dozen states that generally give people wide latitude to use deadly force if they fear serious bodily harm. "We are trying to change laws so that this never, ever happens again," Sharpton, who organized the rallies through his National Action Network, told the crowd in New York.
Zimmerman's lawyers had considered the controversial stand-you-ground defense, but opted instead for a more traditional self-defense argument.
Sybrina Fulton, Trayvon's mother, spoke at the New York rally. "Today it was my son. Tomorrow it might be yours," she warned the crowd. Trayvon's father, Tracy Martin echoed those sentiments at a rally in Miami.
The rallies drew the rich and famous, including Beyonce and Jay Z in New York. But mostly the crowds consisted of regular folks who felt justice was not served at Zimmerman's trial.
In Washington, D.C., hundreds of people braved searing heat, many carrying "Justice for Trayvon Martin" signs, almost all chanting "No justice, no peace." Hellen Smith, 45, brought her 14 year old daughter. The Maryland state human resources manager said she had mixed emotions about the verdict. She said jurors may not have had enough evidence to convict, but added that "We have to stand up for any person of any race who has been unjustly murdered."
Terri White, 60, a Baltimore psychotherapist said she was "disappointed in the system" after Zimmerman was acquitted. "I have two African Americans sons and grandsons and I want to see things change for them."
Washington resident Ralph Reynaud, 69, said the verdict shows that many people connect more easily with Zimmerman than with a black teen. "There was no justice," Reynaud said. "The letter if the law was executed, but the spirit of it was invalidated."
Most of the rallies and vigils were taking place outside federal court buildings. Sharpton said the vigils will be followed by a conference next week in Miami to develop a plan to address Florida's "stand your ground" law.
The rallies came a day after President Obama, speaking to reporters at an impromptu gathering in the White House briefing room, said that all Americans should respect the jury's acquittal of Zimmerman, but that white Americans should also understand that African Americans are pained by Trayvon's death and continue to face racial discrimination.
Obama told reporters that, like other African Americans, he has been followed by security guards while shopping, and has seen motorists lock their doors or women hold tighter to their purses as he walked near them. "Those sets of experiences inform how the African-American community interprets what happened one night in Florida."
"I think it's important to recognize that the African-American community is looking at this issue through a set of experiences and a history that doesn't go away," Obama said, and "it's going to be important for all of us to do some soul-searching."
The president also questioned the wisdom of Florida's "stand your ground" law and suggested people consider whether Trayvon also had the right to stand his ground, adding: "Do we actually think that he would have been justified in shooting Mr. Zimmerman, who had followed him in a car, because he felt threatened?"
Obama also paid tribute to Trayvon's parents, saying that "I can only imagine what they're going through and it's remarkable how they've handled it."
In a statement, Trayvon's parents Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulton said Friday, "We are deeply honored and moved that President Obama took the time to speak publicly and at length about our son, Trayvon. The President's comments give us great strength at this time."

Chloe LouiseGeraldo, you did a real good job going against Bill, O'Reilly, the ugly American, the other evening talking about Al Sharpton. In the first place, you spoke so eloquently and factually bill could not jump in and cut you off, his hallmark, and secondly, you were able to tell the story and make the complete statement and say nice things about someone who works hard for the average citizen. Bill went on CBS and said he was watching out for regular working folks but in reality I think the person looking out for regular working folks is Al Sharpton. Bill, started out by saying he was tired of Al Sharpton but you stopped him in his tracks. I am convinced these right wing nuts, Bill and Sean, never even bother to listen to Rev. Sharpton, because if they actually listened and took in the information they would have to change their platform and that is what they do not want to do under any circumstances.

Seriously, he has this interview thing down to a science. Of course, I love Larry King, just like me he loves to ask questions, but, I do not know if he always loves to have the table turned. George conducted an excellent interview--Larry was very comfortable and we were so lucky to find out interesting things about his early life, how Larry feels about live television, working, even though he is no longer just starting out and just what makes him tick.
George's interview with Aisha Tyler, beautiful comedian and actress, writer and extraordinary personality was also brilliant. This lady has so much to offer and George asked all the right questions. She likes to make people feel comfortable and feel like they belong. I enjoyed both of these interviews because they got to talk and tell their thoughts. I really liked Aisha--she is actually inspirational.
His third interview with fight promoter Dana White was informational and scary as well, as he told about being intimidated for 2,500.00 by thugs of Whitey Bolger at the ripe old age of 21. He immediately left town that day.
George Strombo has the knack for making the guest feel comfortable and that secret that most talk show hosts (not Larry King) often never, ever get--to let the guest give us their very personable information that we can use--it might apply to us and be helpful and that's the coolest thing to achieve on a talk show.
George is serious and he acts interested--to put it simply--he is really very good.
Thank you CNN, for finally putting on the new George Strombo show--please don't take it off now that I like it and look forward to good info and talk.

Talking about Al Sharpton........ this is when he seemed quite impressive to me: .....interviewing a group of advocates in Cleveland during the chaos of the three beautiful girls held hostage in the house of Mr. Castro for several years. The men said "Oh, Hi, Reverend Al....." as if they knew him and they were on a first name basis. The neighborhood group continued to talk to him without fear or nerves--they were able to say what they were thinking as if they were on equal footing with the Reverend. Making the point that Reverend Al Sharpton does represent and give a voice to a certain working class group of people, just the average citizen, of any color or social orientation that may not otherwise be heard. He has a certain gift to promote conversation and receive information. On the other hand.....Bill O'Reilly is so busy cutting people off he is interviewing he does not really get the scoop. He doesn't get the get..... When someone he does not like or is afraid of talks he can't handle it. Maybe the person had something important to tell, good info; Bill will not know because he's too busy being arrogant...he does not listen. or the more important question...is Bill O'Reilly capable of conversation......... I would say this to Bill or anyone who criticizes Reverend Sharpton........
Perhaps you are not really listening to Al Sharpton, have you watched his show? I do not watch him every day but often right before Chris Mathews, as time permits. Have you read the opinions of the contributors to the news networks? Many of them say the same thing, including Eric Holder....stand your ground is really not a fair law and not applied fairly. It is hard for me to hear and believe that black fathers have to have a certain conversation with their sons about not running away from the police, including Eric Holder, himself, being stopped running when he was a federal prosecutor. But not just for a certain culture or group of people, we do not want laws that allow vigilante justice on any kid of any color or any group. Unfortunately, the kids do not always act correctly and have poor judgement or do not live in reality--the other thing I have noticed--the boys are huge and sometimes are quick to fight, and the girls, too. I am not talking about Trayvon Martin, but teenagers, in general--they are kids but we do not want them to die for it. A little example: Bario Logan, San Diego--the 12 year old boys were often beat up for gang affiliation where I worked; point being--that incident would never happen at the rich white schools. That was shocking news to me and I have lived in middle class white San Diego forever. So I guess it is true--we see the world through a white prism. What language are they speaking............ The police were constantly questioning the kids, "What tats do you have, who do you back?" Bill O'Reilly says he is representing the folks, but in reality Al Sharpton is probably more realistically representing the folks. Bill said he is the watchdog looking out for the regular working guy--Bill...meet Al Sharpton.
Geraldo Rivera beautifully defends Al Sharpton to O'Reilly and Bill almost "goes O'Reilly."

Just wondering Bill, what actually is your problem with Al Sharpton?
Could it be Al Sharpton is able to talk with people and represent them well. Could it be Reverend Sharpton has compassion and promotes non-violence but still keeps working tirelessly for equality for all.
Could it be Bill O'Reilly is completely out of touch.
If Bill would bother to really listen to Al Sharpton he would see that he has offered very soothing words to many people in this time of anger in our country.
To put it mildly--Al Sharpton is culturally sensitive--Bill is not.
Bill, you could try to listen and understand. I dare you. You could give Al Sharpton credit, but them you would have to admit there may be a problem with equality in our society. We can work on the problem, you can too, Bill. You may have to go away from your current platform and become enlightened.
Come on, Bill, you can do it.

Geraldo Battles Bill O’Reilly Over Whether Al Sharpton Is ‘Exploiting Trayvon Martin’s Death’
Geraldo Rivera may not like how Al Sharpton‘slobbying forced the “weak” case against George Zimmerman, but on Bill O’Reilly‘s show tonight against the idea that Sharpton’s been exploiting the case and Trayvon Martin‘s death for his own benefit. They clashed a bit when O’Reilly continued pressing Rivera to give a straight answer on whether his motives are pure or not.
O’Reilly declared that people have had enough of Sharpton, showing a clip of him saying that Stand Your Ground laws need to be repealed in order to prevent future Trayvon Martins. O’Reilly told Rivera the perception of Sharpton is that he’s a “selective cherry-picker who’s doing this for his own self-aggrandizement.” Rivera defended Sharpton as the “premiere civil rights activist of the 21st century” and called him a fair man who brings national attention to important minority issues.
O’Reilly directly asked him, “Is he exploiting Trayvon Martin’s death or is he analyzing it in a fair way.” Rivera started to answer that Sharpton latched onto an issue that touched a nerve with the black community, but O’Reilly interjected to say he was “dancing,” pressing him further to answer.
Rivera allowed that Sharpton is “exploiting” the case in the sense that he is commercially bringing it into the limelight, but continued to defend his motivations in doing so. O’Reilly skeptically asked if Sharpton’s motives are pure. Rivera shot back that they’re “much more pure than you give him credit for.”
